Is there any alternative to fraps?

Post by gateshead47402 »

I am currently using fraps, but I am looking for something that doesn't save video's in massave file sizes, which causing glitches when I edit them together, preferably one you can chose the save file type, that records longer than 30 seconds, is freeware, records the full screen and uses reprogrammable hotkeys.

Is there anything that is suitable that should work with Railworks 3, Farming Simulator 2011, etc?

There is a freeware prog that does much the same, but I don't have it installed at present so cannot tell you the name. Try a google search.

I could only find ones like hypercam that only recorded a small area, and couldn't be started/stopped remotley (in game using hotkeys)

I just tried it, when it has finished recording it shows an error, and just saves as 2 wav files that don't work? Is there either any way of making it work or something that works?

Saw bandicam mentioned somewhere else once.
Unregistered version has a 10min time limit and watermark.
