Have to say im rather enjoying this route as very indepth and such an improvement from the Old London to Brighton route that was aviable for MSTS.

Also loving using the Electrostart in Dual Voltage mode as well.

The 'new' night lighting is only available with TSX 'on' so presume that is why there isn't any when you run in 'Legacy'?
It would certainly be worth your while trying to run with TSX as it is so worth it as it brings the route to life.
If you would like to explore how you may be able to achieve this drop me a PM with a few details of your PC etc. and I will see if I can help??

Hi

I know I posted this elsewhere but does anyone have any ideas on the lack of horn or whine sounds on the Electrostar?

Thanks.
Regards.

The horn (both space bar and icon operated) and siding 'bell' work for me OK from the Hud and the cab? The bell is a toggle on/toggle off btw.

Sure Trav.

I have raised this with RSC and bought it recently as part of the summer sale. There are others with this problem and I was just wondering by posting the same question here if anyone is closer to a solution.

Thanks.
Regards.

Just out of interest I tried a 377 set with TSX 'off' and all the buttons/icons as before worked just fine? btw, in 'options' what have you got the two sound sliders set at? Mine are 74 & 99.

It will be interesting to see what responce you get from others on this issue but, at the moment to me anyway, it looks more of a 'local' problem' rather than global?

(btw, good luck with RSC support - you maybe waiting a long time in my experience?)

Hi Gav

I'll certainly try, every little suggestion helps. Thanks anyway.

EDIT: No luck I'm afraid, however your suggestion was greatly appreciated.

Just out of interest, are there any other services apart from london - Brighton that can be done on this route?

Also, i'm pretending FCC do a Victoria - Brighton train on my route, what depot do you guys think they would most likely use?

You can do part of the Reading-Gatwick FGW service I believe (although not a great deal).

FGW - Class 166 and 165 DMU's on Gatwick Airport to Redhill section (drivers arrive into Redhill from Guilford on the PDL and change ends to travel South to Gatwick Airport).

FCC - 319 and 377/5 services between Bedford and Brighton (377/5's on the express semi-fast and 319's on the stopping trains, both cover the Brighton to East Croydon section).

Virgin XC and Cross Country - Pre 2008 services ran between Brighton and Birmingham (this diagram is no longer in operation).

Current stock on the line as of July 2012 consists of only:

Class 171 "Turbostar"
Class 319
Class 377 "Electrostar"
Class 442 "Wessex Electric"
Class 455
Class 456

Hello,
I bought this route a few days ago, but wasn't too sure my pc would be able to run it ok! Having read some of the threads about fps hits around Clapham and Victoria, I did hold back from purchasing but as I did love this route in the old msts I gave in in the end and went for it. My pc only has a 2.13Ghz dual core processor, but what the hell.
I was pleasantly surprised that it ran so well as it did. I have all settings to high, shadows turned off, and at first headlights off although later tried with them on and dind't make much difference. I noticed the fps were on 14 from Vic. but still ran fairly smoothly, also in the Clapham area. Since then ran three scenarios and all went ok.
I bought this with the 4Cig and driving that rig I found it a bit difficult to control for some reason as I have a wireless keyboard and mouse. When I changed over and used the F4 HUD I found it much easier. Normally drive with the HUD off.
Very pleased with this route, very detailed and can remember various locations from the msts game although this is much more detailed. I shall be using this for some time to come for sure.

You may want to have a look at this website, http://www.1s76.com/1S76%201979.htm

It shows all the passenger services from 1979 onwards of trains that used to run in and out of Brighton to Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Manchester Piccadilly, Liverpool Lime St, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds and Hull, I generally run these on the game up to East Croydon as they went to Kensington Olympia afterwards which obviously isn't on the map, so, quite a few to choose from, you can also run summer excursions to Newhaven if you come off the branch line near Wivelsfield, and from Hove you have all the traffic from Worthing, Bognor Regis, Weymouth and Portsmouth, if you use the avoiding line to/from Preston Park, utilising any of the relevant BR Blue era locomotives and MK1 and 2 coaching stock, and even though the route is built in the modern era, I imagine that I'm in the 1970's and 80's for sentimental purposes....... :D

Cheerz. Transport Steve.

I finally played this route last night through its full length and it is fantastic with so much variety in terms of track and stations. What I wanted to know was, I've seen a heck of alot of stations along the route including some that appear 'off-route' like on some of the junctions. Do these feature at all in the pack or can you drive to them? For instance the otherside of Clapham Junction or where the route splits past Gatwick.

Afraid not, its basically the mainline, the main branches off end just out of sight

one branchline I am surprised is the one to Tattenham Corner - its very short, and about half of it is in game, so why they couldn't finish that one off I am not quite sure
