Railworks Start Up Image

Post by TheTazman »

When RW is loading there is qute a nice picture of the Santa Fe engine whilst your waiting for the main menus to appear. In RW2 there was the HST with its headlights glowing. We now see those sort of effects in RW3. Does that mean the loading image could be what things willl look like in RW-4 ?

Regards

I can't remember who took the screenshot, was it Varney?, anyhow, I don't think RW4 had been spoken about, so, unsure if this has anything to do with it.

Mostly someone assumed RW4 was going to be announced the other week, which was rumour, which then got spun as fact and now there is a fair few now believe there is a RW4 announcement coming. Its the sort of misinformation which ends up getting spread which gets people angry or dissapointed at the end of the day when it turns out to be something completely different.

Back to topic, the intitial loadscreen is just a digitally enchanced and modified screen used to show its TS2012 and its loading, most loading screens are digital modified or actual artwork drew up in development stages then suitable modified to be made into a interesting load screen, lots of games do it and it generally holds no bearing upon future releases and/or the games actual graphic look once launched on a users computer.

I think the general consensus at the time is that the shot is of the RW3 stock, but superimposed on a photo of real track. I don't think it is a pure in-game short at all, just a pretty picture.
