Just to clarify, nobody has been personally called an "RSC Hater", it is the manner of some posts I find untolerable. And yes, you can talk about how good or bad a product is, but 9 times out of 10, people are slating a product before it is even released, that goes for any product from any vendor. Not only that, but the same thing is repeated page after page. (See below)

If anyone has bothered to read any of my posts on matters such as TS2012 upgrades to stock, I tend to agree with the overall consensus, that is not where my issue lies. My issue lies with logging in to the forum every day and seeing that the vast majority of topics have been hijacked with the same repetetive posts despite moderators stating it should not be done. Therefore, the forum (especially the General Discussion section) has absolutely no further value to me any more, I shouldn't have to spend much more time than necessary to filter through threads just to ignore what has already been said and find the useful stuff.

If you disagree and wish to have a pop, by all means send me a PM or contact me by other means. I'm not interested in taking part in any further forum discussion.

I am really looking forward to the Jubilee Celebrations :D

I am always surprised at what I can find in my photo collection when I start digging deep -

Does the Queen use this train as a form of transport? I was under the impression only the Princes and the Duke used it.

She does use it although it's been a good ten years since she last did IIRC. Recently she's preferred the more humble Class 165:

The queen uses it I remember she was boarding it at the local station here and the bus company was told they were not to let any buses into the bus station next to the train station during the time the queen was there. Mind you the buses were old bangers so i'm not suprised they did not want them around.

Having travelled on a FGW 165 in the not too distant past, I can understand why she's got a face like that on! :P

Wonder what she would say about the dirt along the bottom of the doors??? It must be the reason behind the expression on her face.

I don't think she travels by train to often to be honest, can't say I overly would blame her for it, far as I'm away she is either at the palace or dissapears up to windsor. She's also not been travelling as much untill this years celebrations, with her age and while she is in good health I think she is wanting to wind down and leave the rest to the kids and the new addition of Kate and William who are quite popular with the UK people at the moment.

The train might get more use next year when Kate and William will be brought back into the linelight again, its been said they are taking a backseat due to it being the jubilee year but bussiness as usual afterward.

Charles used it a fair bit last year and the carriage stock was used with tornado for abit.

In regards to the dirt maybe she would say "I am not amused" in the style of Victoria. ;)

Surely thats a FCC 365, Jivebunny? It must be FCC as the neon colours are in rectangular shapes, not squiggly lines. Those doors look like 365 doors too.

Surely she can't have a face like that after listening to those motors?

Oops, must have written 165 out of habit - it was indeed a 365. I doubt 165s have ever been to that part of the country!

The Queen has certainly been making good use of the royal train this year. Earlier this month she visited Lancashire on a two day trip, arriving by train, and in April she took the Maundy Money to York by train. In March I was lucky enough to see the royal train close up myself for the first time, when 67026, in its new colour scheme, brought Her Majesty and Prince Phillip to Manchester. I have some photos and a video on my website here.

Although I'm not particularly interested in the Diamond Jubilee itself, I think this is going to be a great add-on for RailWorks. Disputes about the 67 aside, this pack will offer a wide opportunity for use on many of the modern RW routes. Scenario possibilities are not just restricted to royal workings, but empty stock too. The locos will also be useful for less prestigious railtour scenarios and even mundane freight and engineers trains as their real life counterparts are often subjected to in this day when asset use is maximised by DB Schenker.

Royal train would look much better with a pair of royal rats (Class 25's)

or Royal Tats (Class 40's)

Or 87004. Or a 47. In fact anything other than a 67
