I agree, but if the initial email had been limited to the first two sentences I doubt very much if it would have got that kind of response! In hindsight was there any need for the gratuitous criticism if all that was wanted was an answer to the question about updating addons to TS2012 standard?jivebunny wrote:No message from a paying customer should receive that kind of response, even if it did warrant it.....

Re: Class 67 Jubilee add-on
To add to all this, I asked them on Twitter today why the pack was under the category of 'Indie' on Steam - I only realised because I look at the Indie games regularly because there are some extremely good games that don't get noticed. Surprise, surprise they DM'd me saying that this was Steams fault and that they will ask Steam what happened and follow up. I also notified Steam, got a pretty fast reply too (4 hours later) saying that they will contact the developer/publisher. Now which is telling the truth?
They don't seem to be too bothered about this either but hey ho.
I also sent the same kind of email asking why older products weren't being upgraded but instead included in newer packs with the update. Their reply was 'If you don't wish to purchase, just don't bother. We have many other supporters.' I followed up saying I've been with Railworks since it's second day of release (Railworks 1). They haven't followed up...
Well thats my view anyway.
Cheers
Jason

The problem is there not all kids. There are a load of 'Adults' on there that complain about the smallest thing and so RSC are becoming frustrated. Saying that, I reckon a good way to sort out this whole scenario would for everyone to praise RSC where it is due - they do produce quality addons, yes it may not have the features of Just Trains and Oovees models, but 'cool' features like that are meant for third parties. The more praise they get when it is due the more likely they will become to venture onto these forums and help people. But if they know people will slag them off then they won't. Yes let them know when you aren't happy with something, but when they do something right praise them!smarty2 wrote:You don't think the "kiddies" on farcebook have made them cynical do you?

I really don't see what is so objectionable about the email from RS.com, it seems a perfectly reasonable statement to me - people complain that there is a lack of communication from them and yet when they do respond promptly to emails, that gets complained about too! Damned if they do and damned if they don't I think.
