Update? 11.7b

Post by andynwt »

I just had a 16MB update, for a number of files in the root of Railworks by the looks of it. The version is 11.7b, is that new? I haven't been paying attention :)

I have had the first RW screen running for few days and it's still v11.0b so I'd guess your's new. I'll see if I get it too.

Just got this update. Changelog says it is fix for slow network rendering in editor. Weird thing is that editor does not want to load my scenario.

edit: Looks like editor was just slow to open it. After loading it seems to run better.

No problem

I saw your post, so went to load up RW, and I got the update box

Hopefully if I read it right, it means that the editor will be faster - when in TestTrak Editor it takes ages just to turn the camera around I find :/

It sounds like it is the issue of lofted items taking ages to render that has been addressed; here's hoping anyway :)

Haven't tried Woodhead yet (the worst offender) but loft loading times on my GWML Extension seem to have massively improved. Good news for route builders :)

Mine has updated, and WCML routes and Woodhead routes load much faster. I also seem to get 3-9 more FPS... (not bad when I was in the 14-18 FPS area).

Only side effect is that on WCML when I trundle over any points or past the points, I get a thick dark trail down the centre of the trackwork. On normal trackwork, it's fine. Did not notice it on Woodhead though...

The WCML point issue is nothing new, the track's been in that state since the TS2012 update. An awful graphical glitch IMO which really could do with sorting since WCML is supposed to be one of the flagship routes.

I haven't done anything 'scientific' but Woodhead seems to be getting better FPS for me too. Could just be coincidence, I wasn't comparing the same scenario that I played yesterday (which was very AI heavy).
