Hi Art
Just run the act and it ran ok for me.
Have you checked your settings as Polmadie is a very resource demanding area.
Thanks.

Hi Art
As a test, stay in the cab to start with and see if it loads ok then.
You can always use the headout to see where you are going.
Let me know how you get on.
Thanks.

Hi Art,
I mention this only because I know you have amended some Cabviews.

Have you ever changed the "tankcab.cvf" to cure your problems with loco parts in the shift+1 view you like to use?
If you have it will affect all locos that use the cab.
By "outside" do you mean shift+1 or up arrow?

If you have not touched tankcab.cvf then it is likely to be settings. My MSTS is quite good on my PC but the frame rates on SCP drop to 5 at Polemadie.

Good luck
Doug

I have also started and run the act from both the Mini Route and my main MSTS.

With deference to Art he does not like driving in the cab or head out, hense my post. Although Head out and The Buffer Beam View key 6 (a CamHack), Work fine.

Good luck

Hi Doug
Yes, have had many a chat with Art and understand.
What I wanted him to do, and I didn't explain myself clearly enough, was to start in the cab and see if it then loaded all the necessary shapes etc without crashing. Once loaded he might be able to jump to view 2 and it might have worked.
Thanks.

Hi Peter,
Yes, let the whole act load first. I have had the odd crash by being too eager before now. :-?
When Art looks at these replies he will come back with his findings.
We can take it from there.

Great work on the act, not many routes allow much ECS opportunities.
Good luck

Hi Art,
Possibly as I have had no trouble with these acts.
Do you save the acts as soon as they start and go to the reload saved games reload the save. This way MSTS is in memory and only needs the act info.

What are your PC Specs?

Good luck

Hi Art
Previously you had said that the Shunting at Polmadie was ok when you stayed in the cab.
How far through the act did you get before it crashed that time?
How much memory (ram) has your machine got and are you running other programmes (eg Word etc) before you run MSTS.
If you are running other programmes they could be staying in memory and stopping MSTS being able to load everything it needs, especially with not much ram, I have had this problem before on an older machine.
Would have thought that even with an old machine that is set to low specs it would run the acts.
Let us know the situation so help can be given.
Thanks.
