Indeed, we are all keen to kick off when a product is released with bugs, apparently not tested or with outstanding issues. So i find it ironic that some complain about releases being pushed back.

This to my mind is a good thing. I would rather have a working product than something that was on time but came with issues.

Also a nice move to update the 4cig too. It makes sense and is just how RSC should behave.

It didn't actually say on railsimulator.com that it would be updated on the 26th, It said "from" the 26th.

quote:
Portsmouth Direct Line: upgraded for TS2012 from 26 April

Same with the 4VEP,
The 4VEP (Class 423) electric multiple unit will be available for Train Simulator 2012 from 26 April.

Oh well, I'm sure it wont be too long.
I've been to Eastbourne too, So what!

Uhm, isn't that normal sales talk when a product is put up for sale? I.e. it'll be on sale from that and that date is just another way of saying it'll be released on that date.

I think it's normally portrayed as 'is available from the day of release'

I'm sure in legal terms, it just means it wont be available before the 26th,
Although if it was, I don't think anybody would complain :)

If "from" meant "at some point after" then surely RSC would just put "available from today" on all DLC... :-?

From RSC Facebook page.

PORTSMOUTH DIRECT LINE UPGRADE NEWSFLASH: we will now be upgrading the 4CIG Add-On along with the PDL. This means ALL DLC available with scenarios on the PDL (4VEP, 4CIG, Class 455, Class 444 and Class 33) will be upgraded to TS2012 standards, along with the route. This will involve additional development and testing time, so we will not be bringing you the PDL upgrade this week as planned. However, we hope all PDL (and 4CIG) owners will be very pleased with the result! The upgrades are free to current owners of the DLC.

Looks like the update has arrived. Just got a fairly big update through steam and "RSC/GuildfordDistrict" now has a modified date and time of 11/5/12 21:07 :)

Lets see some changes! :D

Immediately it would appear the 450 now seems to accelerate like an EMU, I think! :D

No wonder my connection speed suddenly dropped - of course it had to arrive at the same time as Windows Update was downloading stuff...

Unfortunately looks like performance has taken a hit... :( Very choppy in outside views, even at the lowest detail level and with TSX off...

EDIT: Also, looks like 'Introduction to the Portsmouth Line' has disappeared (not in the Tutorials list), even tho it is listed in the manual? :/
