All told, 'TS2012ifying' a route isn't that hard otherwise. Most of the lights are already there, and adding the sky dome is a 15 minute job. Still, I thank RSC for taking time out to do this
From a screenshot I saw on the main site today, and the one on the loading screen suggests the lights are actually replaced. It did use the default brown older style lamps originally.

For that case, replacing hundreds of lamps is harder than it looks. :D

Also the route doesn't have the TS2012 lights at the moment, so that's another few hundred things to add :)

Yes, it has lights, but not TSX lights, there is nothing emitting light as it now can. There is also the background lighting in all towns and villages as well.

Works very well if you go and actually add SE too - the trackwork on this route is pretty nice. A bit of work on the trackbed & close scenery & the whole route could be up with the best.

Would be a wonderful starting point for a community enhancement project, this route, if such a thing could be organised at either end. As it is all those extra miles of track are a bit of a waste...
My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

Couldn't agree more.

re SE, I know what you mean, I did it myself after some help from gypbrc, the improvement and increase to the immersion factor was tenfold.

It would be nice if RSC fixed the thingy with the textures, can't think what it called now, the backwards logo problem.

PORTSMOUTH DIRECT LINE UPGRADE NEWSFLASH: we will now be upgrading the 4CIG Add-On along with the PDL. This means ALL DLC available with scenarios on the PDL (4VEP, 4CIG, Class 455, Class 444 and Class 33) will be upgraded to TS2012 standards, along with the route. This will involve additional development and testing time, so we will not be bringing you the PDL upgrade this week as planned. However, we hope all PDL (and 4CIG) owners will be very pleased with the result! The upgrades are free to current owners of the DLC.
So RSC do it agian - build up the hype then, at the very last minute, pull the plug
This is becoming a habit isn't it?

It doesn't really matter does it? Besides, a TS2012 4CIG is being added as well which is a bonus.
Besides, its RSC, so what do you expect?

It's the end of the world..............

I thought the reason for holding back was fairly legitimate and explained properly.
