Frieght time tables: Settle - Carlisle

I wonder if anyone can point me towards a or access to a modern day freight timetable, with particular reference to the Settle - Carlisle line? I need this for some scenarios I have in the pipeline.

Any help would be appreciated. Kind regards,

Although not all of those are likely to run of course,they are just "paths" and not actual workings,in some cases they may all run but its usually quite rare to find that happening at most locations.

Good bets on the S&C are the Clitheroe tanks,6J37 logs to chirk,6K05 engineers and 6M32 coal which regularly produces a 70.

Generally, a 6 freight will be loaded and 4, unloaded. However, if you are aware of where they are going to, you can generally tell. Loaded to Drax, unloaded from Drax etc.

In days gone by though, although rare, loads were turned away, much like road haulage. Obviously this meant full loads were returned northbound, only to return later.

Well a code of 6M32 for the coal would suggest a Southbound run from Scotland, so I would guess that would be loaded.

6M32 is the southbound loaded working and 4S42 the return in the early morning I believe.

18 HHA/HXA for a 66

EWS coal flows very from 18 - 21 as they like to work their 66s harder.

and whenever 6K05 runs via the S&C its anything from 1 - 20 wagons.

This is interesting. I was wondering the other day how many loaded HHA wagons a 70 would normally pull up Beattock north incline which is at 1in100... Most scenarios have 18 loaded, but i was wondering if that was a bit much ......

Is Beattock not 1in80, 1in70 in places?

Ais Gill is 1in100, same with Blea Moor, and the 70 can pull 20 loaded wagons at a consistent 34mph no problem for me.

Just spent an hour trawling through a few of the Gen sites, nearly all the FLHH Anglo Scottish Coals seem to run with 17-19 on regardless of the power up front, only seen one rake of 20 reported and that was on a Northbound empty set

Have to dig a little deeper and report back
