Re: Free Creator
I'm still getting a full (absolute) path in Blender... I would try to give more details of what is wrong but I really don't have a clue what is wrong

OK, so fiorstly
have you saved your model as a .blend file?
if so, Where did you save it?
thirdly does the folder you saved it in contain a folder called textures?

Re: Free Creator
Just out of interest, what settings do you use to export from Sketchup and import into Blender. I have a problem with some objects with more complex mesh which results in the faces getting rendered with their coords at 1,3,2,4 (clockwise) instead of 1,2,3,4 which twists the plane.
I didn't know whether this was because of the way I was exporting/importing or because of the way I built the object.

Re: Free Creator
What format do you export in?
Re: Free Creator
.obj up until now. I'm just playing with the .3ds format to see if that makes any difference.

Re: Free Creator
Hmm I export with the objexporter too, and it seems OK to me...
Re: Free Creator

The top one image is using an .obj import and the bottom one using a .3ds import. The .obj import gives a nicer mesh, or at least how I built it rather than splitting it further. But the twisting artefact is obvious on the bogie bolster. Subdivide is the easiest way to fix it, it's just it shouldn't need fixing in the first place

Re: Free Creator
Can anyone link me to a good guide to the actual modelling in Blender? Or would it be best to import from Sketchup?

Re: Free Creator
Ermmm...I just imported a sketchup model, and it has lots of lines going through the model...Is there anyway to select them individually and delete them?

Re: Free Creator
What sort of lines? Can you post a screenshot to explain?

Re: Free Creator
I also think the model has been scaled up in size during import, and ideas on how to scale it back down?

Re: Free Creator
On the import window make sure the clamp scale is set at 0.00. It looks like you have left yours at the default 10.0.
The lines seem fine; they just represent the mesh. What does it look like in edit mode and in a render?
