West Somerset Rly v2

Post by dsrose »

I have done a search for the assets required list and failed to find the following:
20752, 20673, 20196, 20178, 20168, 20174, 20179, 20172, 20157.
I have not cross-checked with files I have installed already and doubtless will discover most if not all, but I query these in case others find the same problem.
Can Pectin (route creator) or anyone else please say what the files are?

Mucho problemo ! Downloaded and installed versions 1 and 2 plus as many of the required assets as could be found. Result... V1 does not run because of missing assets RW_Tools reports 95 missing! V2 although it appears on Raiiworks Route menu does nothing and when checked with RW_Tools I get a "File location does not exist."

Must try harder - HELP !!!

Just installed v2 of the route and ran a free roam without difficulty. The only missing item on my installation is the nameboards file.

I can see various improvements from the original version - you can now run from Taunton, the triangle is in, and numerous scenery improvements have been made. I'm not sure why the line comes back round on itself so that you face about south-east coming into Minehead (should be west) but the route as a whole is looking good.

Looking forward to the scenario pack.

Doesn't work at all for me. Deleted file with RW_Tools, re-downloaded Zip, re Unzipped, re-installed in Railworks (Even though it said Assets already installed despite the fact the I had uninstalled with RW_Tools) Still nothing shows up when I select it from Route selector, just blank under any option.

Something seriously wrong here , might it be Windows 7 by any chance???

BTW V1 now runs under free roam but NO TRAINS ANYWHERE !! At least not that I can find.

What a pain...

Hi all,
Installed v2 only assets missing are trackrumble bed (in railsimulator us)
route will not run! tried to get into route using editor NO GO.
tried to make a free scenario No go.
Version 1 runs fine no problems (had that installed for quite a while,
Maybe its because of using W7 64 bit?
will try it no XP later and let you know what happens
Cheers Stan
ps should it have loaded over ver1?

Doesn't work in XP either. Appears on Route list but cannot be run, no information. I notice that there is nothing under "Route Properties.xml" is this significant?

I have V1 and have just downloaded and installed V2.

The first thing I did was to try to run V2 through RW_Tools and I got an error message right at the beginning (can't remember what it said, sorry) and that's as far as it went.

I then created a free roam activity and ran V2 through RW_Tools again. This time it completed the tests and gave me the missing assets report. (All I was missing was the DT stop boards, which I found using the list in the route's readme.)

Fourletr, Oldowl - you won't get anything to run unless you make a scenario, as there are none provided. I made a quick free roam from Taunton just to have a look at the route, and I was impressed. I believe a scenario pack is on the way.

You don't need v1 installed but, as ever, it's important to read the readme file and ensure you have all the required assets.

Agreed Ash, done the same thing here and Bob, if you create a Scenario the RWTools error will disappear.

All running OK for me, thanks for sharing your efforts with us, now back to running Pete's wonderful Q1 up the Bank.

Just one question, are the DT Stop Boards still available anywhere, can't find them on the DT web site. :-?

"Bob, if you create a Scenario the RWTools error will disappear." I thought that's what I said I had done.

The stop boards are available here - FileID 26039.
