Just incase Mully hasn't told anyone else where.
Any budding scenario creators for the Scottish East Coast Mainline would do well to hang fire for a week or so before sending out to testers or uploading as Mully has a patch coming which may cause some scenario's to fail.

For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it

Re: Scottish East Coast Main Line from Just Trains
Well, even i gave up the temptation and bought this from JT's Easter sale and it's pretty nice to run, expect few nags, mostly beacause of my computer. My first run on the 185 minute scenario eneded just before Inverkeithing to a SBHH and my second run on the route, the voyager run to Edinburgh eneded to same SBHH just before Haymarket, so i kinda managed to see most of the route...
Tho, the voyager scenario had little bit too much opposing traffic. Very little freight, expect coal traffic to Fife circle (Logannet?) via Rosyth Town. 1-2 intermodals down to Aberdeen...i think. That's what i recall from SimSig's WTT on the Edinburgh simulation (reminds me to start another run on that...)

Bought it over Easter and love it. I have been over the Bridges many times in my younger day's while going to Montrose and it brings back some great memories. Thanks to Just Trains and all concerned for a superb Route.
Kind regards james.

No release date has been given yet, but I'm sure glad I haven't progressed my first sECML scenario pack past the ai stage yet
I don't think mully has said what will actually be changed either. It obviously has something to do with a change to track layout and properties
Only time will tell what the update has in store. I'm sure mully has heart and soul into it, whatever the update includes.

Re: Scottish East Coast Main Line from Just Trains
Had a dilemma on where to spend my hard-earned on payware this month (having already nudged into the red with RSC's Class 70...) and it was down to a toss-up between this and RSC's S&C.
I finally went for this, probably due to the predominantly positive feedback, partly due S&C not really appealing to me at its current full price (I'll wait for a sale) as well as the really rather nice freeware version we've already got, and possibly subconsciously, due to the drip-feed of sponsored banner-ads on this site for SECML
Not going to do an in-depth review, at least not yet -- I've only run through a single scenario thus far, the full schlep from Dundee to E'burgh -- but the route is nicely detailed, well landscaped and performs quite well on my older rig. Oh, and the trip in a Voyager out of Dundee over the bridge across the Tay as my first foray was a very pleasant experience
If I have one criticism it's the lack of transitioned curves and superelevation and whilst I appreciate that this project began a long while ago, before such things were possible, for me it's a case of once having tasted butter, not wanting to go back to margarine -- it's *very* noticeable on some of the 80+mph switchback curves South of Dundee.
Few other minor niggles such as a level crossing with disappearing cars at it and a foot crossing which stops in the four-foot, some very slow aircraft (stall speed must be astonishingly low
), some very quick boats (a very rapidly accelerating lakes cruiser) and a serious flood in Burntisland, all of which I hope can be fixed, but given the scale of the project, it's a bloody good effort.
So, as a personal score, I give it 8/10, those two "missing" points being down to the aforementioned lack of s/e and the few niggles.
Cheers, Rik.

Re: Scottish East Coast Main Line from Just Trains
I was unsure if this was worth a 14 page thread 'bump', but this just came through on Mully's web mailing:
Hi firetrap1,
Firstly sorry for the lack of inactivity! May seem like it but promise you have been very busy..
This is just an update to let you know the SECML service pack should be finished soon and officially added to the JustTrains technical support page. Just a couple of problems to iron out.
Many thanks for your patience but will let you know when its released as soon as..
Thanks and best regards
Mully.
