Scottish East Coast Main Line from Just Trains

For those of us unfamiliar with the area, can anyone specify what section Edinburgh - Perth is? Where are the train crew depots, and where do drivers swap over?

Depots at Haymarket (Edinburgh),Stabling sidings/presume signing on point at Dundee and depot at Perth.

Looks terrific, but I was on Burntisland station a week ago catching a local service to Kirkcaldy, and the station shown in screenshot 25 (and surrounding scenery) doesn't look very familiar to me. I'd be interested to know how accurate they intend it to be, or whether JT are aiming simply to approximate the experience using default assets.

Even though it's loosely based around 2006-2007 Hopefully it will have the Bay platforms all electrified as would give a great scope for futher scenarios/ stock movements.

Excellent news, looking forward to this since I can't remember.

It's looking like a year of civil engineering landmarks.
Woodhead Tunnel, Ribblehead Viaduct and the Forth Bridge.

What else can we look forward to in this landmark year?
Leaderfoot viaduct as part of the Waverley?
Glenfinnan?
One of the Brunell tunnels either under the Thames or Box Hill?

Definitely on my watchlist - the route itself sounds great.

My existing JY purchases, NCL-York Modern and Voyager felt far from cutting edge despite the positive feedback I read over here so I have a little skepticism. Darlington and 153 seems to be a mixed bag as well but Bristol to Exeter is fantastic (got it from steam, which is weird considering it's a JT release).

It would be great if JT would tell us who the developers actually are because they're "just" a publisher!

Actually, we're not "just" a publisher. Many of our products are developed in-house as Just Trains exclusives (and flight ones as Just Flight exclusives). We work with many third party developers as well, and also publish products which get them out to a much bigger audience than if they were "self published" by the developer(s) themselves. We also re-sell products rather than re-publishing them (examples being the RRYard route that was released the other day and the World of Subways products).

Mully (from this very forum) is the lead developer of the Scottish East Coast Main Line route, and the developers are always credited in the manuals that come with products that we publish, so I do feel that we tell people - although not too sure anyone has to actually do so.

They have both been very popular and have received a lot of positive feedback. You may want to consider the fact that the Voyager was one of the very first commercially available add-on releases (we actually showed it in action at a show at the Thinktank in Birmingham before Rail Simulator had been released, that's how early it was in the whole add-on release cycle!) and the same with Newcastle to York Modern which I believe was Darren's (also on this forum) first route that he had worked on and a much-needed release and perfectly at the same or higher level than other routes that were available around the same time - and I'd like to feel still very much up there as a great route that compares well with others that may have been released more recently.

Worth also noting that there is a major upgrade coming for the Voyager soon, which will easily bring it up to/beyond the level of any new release, and very much cutting edge.

Many thanks for your feedback. I didn't realise JT did stuff in-house as I used to be a flightsimmer and got the impression that Just Flight was a publisher for a wide range of 3rd Party Developers.

Great to hear that it will be updated "soon" as it's been a long time coming. Another decent stock to drive up to Perth, although I'm way more excited in running 170s!

£20 nice price too, I think this just trumped Peterborough to Newark on the Creative Rail ECML release...

Oh yes, somewhere else to enjoy my Class 40's as well.

After the moderate criticism over Bishop auckland - have to say nice one, JT and a release I'll definitely put on the shopping list.

Yer, tough call for my £20 notes. But i'm leaning towards being faithfull to just JT and RSC.

Will be an interesting route and not just a straight blast at a constant speed. With lots of speed variations drivers need to stay alert.
