Folks,

When i attempted to use this route for the first time last night, i said i needed additional payware for this, anyone have any idea what this may be??

Also is there any difference in the JT 66 which I am getting with the IOW add on pack later today, or the steam version???

I loaded B&T about two weeks ago and it works OK for me. There is no payware required for this route it is ALL default or UKTS files with the exception of the Hunslet. As per the read me, you need the GB Hunslet, 17904, 18133, 19362, 23163, 23357, 23358, 23673 & 23908. Oovee no longer do the free reskin but mine runs OK without it. When I tried to run it for the first time it could not find the Class 37+ploughs and a 16t mineral wagon. I edited them in, saved the scenario and it's been fine ever since.

This is an explanation I got when i was asking how to fix things with TS2012, I hope it helps:
Some of the problems with the scenarios have to do with the upgrading of Railworks to RS2012. Broken Consists are normally resolved the easy way by clicking 'edit' on the screen that shows 'Broken Consists'. In the editor you do nothing but click on the orange arrow in the bottom right-hand corner. When the window to save changes appears click 'yes' to save. In most cases your broken consists are gone
I am at work and not at my RW home PC but RW tools, for the simpler actions that is, is fairly easy to understand. For swapping of rolling stock (assets) you click on the "Edit Scenario" tab. On the next split screen you click on the route in the top screen and the scenarios for the route will appear in the bottom screen. Click/highlight the scenario you want to edit. After a little while you will get a new window that has all information for the scenario. The consists are in the left-middle top area; when you highlight one of them, all assets that are in the consist show next to it: right middle top area. The asset you want to swap you highlight, then go to the area at the bottom right where you see your RW file folder tree. Go find 'assets' click on it and you will see all the subfolders from the different asset developers, s.a Kuju, DT, RSC, RSDL etc. and find the folder your desired asset is in. For example the 16T mineral "OLD BR1", since this is a reskin of the default wagon, you will find in the Kuju folder. Go as far as needed into the folder, at least till you find the 'railvehicles' folder, and if more than one asset in this folder, click on the asset folder itself. For example '16T mineral'. Make sure you click on the type of asset in the filter screen directly above the RW folder tree screen, click for example 'freight' and click on search (at least that is what I think this is called; out of my head/not at my pc) You will see the available assets appear that are in the folder with the filter applied (in the example, all 'freight' assets). Next step is you highlight the item you want to swap AND the item that you want to replace it with. Then click the SWAP button from the action buttons in the middle, either for this one item or 'for each consist'. Try it out. This is only meant as a guideline to make it easier (I hope ) to get you started. As I said, I write this all out of memory, not being at my PC, so some of the wordings in RWTools may be a bit different.
That was it and it got me up and going. Look at the posts for 9F Mixed Freight to Dumfries on these general discussion pages. You should invest in a copy of RWTools because it makes life easier when you need or want to change things. And pay GBP3 for a premium download service from UKTS and download as much stuff as you can in one months with no limit to the download speed,

By the way, if you have not invested in RWTools there is a way to do it through TS2012. I can explain later if you want me to. As for the Hunslet, look at the readme which comes with the route file that you unzipped. It gives the web address for the Hunslet. Just go to the site and do the free download, unzip it and install with package manager. The readme also list all the files you need to download from UKTS. As I said, pay GBP3 and get a premium account or wait for hours and hours in a queue and download at 5kb/s, it takes for ever and ever.

I am in Brum at the moment with work, so will download a copy of RW Tools later, and try to follow your instructions.

Does it cost nything to get RW Tools?? And can i substitue the Engine and the Wagon, for any other Engine or Wagon in Railworks (Within my collection)??

RWTools is free for the first 21 (or something like that) times you use it. It then requires that you donate to the author, whatever reasonable amount you choose and this will let you obtain a licence and unlock the program. I am sure many will vouch that it is worth making a donation.

It is well worth reading the tutorials on Mike's website http://www.rstools.info/ and taking your time to explore what the program is capable of, as well as reading the topics in the RWTools forum on UKTS before plunging in and using up the free trial runs, but one feature is that you can exchange most types of stock for anything within your collection. There are a few exceptions and it is usually best to exchange like for like (e.g. diesel for diesel, carriages/wagons of similar length etc.)

So basically, this opens up "ALL" of the scenarios on Railworks IF you have the routes, by being to substitute stock if you dont own it??

If you replace an item, particularly a locomotive/unit, then it may not have the same power/tractive effort and cannot keep to the timings written into the scenario.

It's all a learning process for you really, it's worth donating and then you can start experimenting.
