Next ChrisTrains project - DD-AR

Post by chrisell »

While I'm waiting for a decision on how/where to distribute my 2200 locomotive, I've started work on the next project. The Dutch DD-AR doubledecker. It's going to have two versions when done - the original DD-AR and the newly rebuilt DDZ / NID version that is currently rolling out across the network. Working cab and multiple passenger views (first and second class if I'm mad enough), working doors etc.

Screengrab of the initial conversion of my old MSTS model. Still to do? Everything :-)

Chris - looking brilliant. Long time fan of yours.
My personal MSTS favourite of yours was the Koploper which has given me many hours of fun (on the old sim). Glad you're back again.

All the best

Those three bogies could give work in blueprint editor when in that stage... :D

Hmm, a doubledecker cab-control-car with technic from a electric loco placed on lovel deck and still has some passenger seats. Did the formation have another at rear end or just 'plain' cab-control-car?

The back end was a trailing driving trailer - a full passenger carriage with a streamlined nose and cab on the back.

Nice Chris, I too enjoyed the old Koploper from the old sim but whatever you make is going to be appreciated. :)

Enjoyed all your MSTS stock, the only differance of course, was that we had some very nice Dutch routes to run them on !!!! - will of course be buying this one hen it arrives on the scene !!!!

There's already one free Dutch route in-work and others on the way. I'm hoping that by providing some decent rolling stock, the routebuilders over there will take notice...

Looking real sharp, mate! Will be fun to have them rolling around.

This is actually the first time that I heard about the DDZ / NID version... just looked it up and wow it looks different.
I should travel by train more, lol...
