I really feel like saying my mind (albeit with frequent profanity) to people like that. Wasting space and people's time.
Almost as bad as people insulting our friends from across the water by saying their trains should be in a scrapyard, eh?

Is there anything wrong with saying my opinion or do I have to like every train in the world? I thought not. Free speech and all that.

Funny how the UKtrainsim forums can turn a 3rd party vendor into the bad guy in the matter of days and the thread remain open, allowing for snipes and unnessessary comments to flow.

A bussiness wished to inform there customer base of what intentions they have in the future since they had been so many requests, said requests for all intents and purposes were taken into consideration and said requests in turn have produced the result that Oovee now is currently postponing all further development and focusing on "updating" their DLC items, AS PER REQUESTED by the fans.

So now Oovee are doing per request of fans, said fans are now in uproar because they are updating, as per requested.

Does anyone see the glaringly obvious irony to this entire situation which has developed?

Its hardly surprisingly we have had less and less 3rd party vendors post on this forum over the past year, especially when this is the reaction one gets from the uktrainsim forum posters for merely informing people of what they plan to do or what new products they maybe releasing. People are quick to judge and comment on facebook posts from people, but here isn't particularly starting to be any different when it comes down to posts.
I know you and I have very different opinions on a number of issues, but I completely agree with this post, very well said.

I also agree with crumplezone's reply and certainly can see the irony that he points out.

Oovee have made a statement and after reading some of the replies on here, I am begining to wonder if that statement is the same one that I read. I thought it very clear and concise.
Perhaps it's an "Area 51" effect where meanings translate into something entirly different, subjective to the reader. :new-alien:

Damned if they do and damned if they don't.... It seems to be a modern gaming buisness thing, fans seem to turn on a company even if the company does what they want....

"Mr Pot? I have Mr Kettle on the line; he says he'll call you Black..."

"People like that", eh?

No you don't have to like every train.

Steam isn't my cup of tea, but if I see a quality steam screenshot I will more than likely be complimentary about it.

There is a difference between not liking and actively insulting things you know.

OK gentlemen, that's enough. This petty bickering needs to cease now please, otherwise action will be taken against guilty parties.

I do wonder sometimes what some people expect. There's criticism if a developer doesn't continually tell the public at large what they're up to, yet the minute they do, as in this case, there's further criticism and baseless speculation as to motives. Is it any wonder that some developers - RSC for instance - hardly post here anymore?

Seldom have I seen so much over-reaction and negativity in the face of a positive statement of intent by Oovee.
