Sorry, not sure whether to post here or in Route Building. but here goes:
I have started making my first route and am very grateful for all the advice on this forum and the you tube tutorial videos people have taken the time to make, but I have a few questions I can't find answers to:
1. When I have laid a running line, a loop and some sidings, I am struggling to change the settings for the track (ie line speeds), how can I select more than one piece of laid track to change the line speed settings? If I select one piece of track I can open the window on the right side of the screen and amend the speeds; if I select say the main line and a loop and then open the window to change the line speeds, it is blank and I can't enter a value?
2. What's the best way of working out how far from the track to place a platform (if not using the offset tool) - in Trainz I would place a consist on the track but you can't seem to select trains in the route editor.
3. Finally are there any platform signs or signal boxes that can be renamed or does that require some object creation expertise?
Really grateful for any advice.

The latter part is most likely due to using more than one track rule. It is imperative that you only use one. In terms of selecting more than one piece at a time, you can't. If possible, it is better to input this whilst building the track.Tankie1234 wrote: 1. It is best to use the offset tool for this and to make sure you reverse the direction of the arrow after selecting the piece of track. For example, a 5m platform should be spaced around 4.2 offset. If you want to do it the hard way and do it by eye against rolling stock, you can simply move from the route editor into the scenario editor, place your stock and then move back to the route editor again.Tankie1234 wrote:2. No, this has to be done by either model creation or reskinning. The latter is not hard to do once you get a simple grasp of what is required.Tankie1234 wrote:3. Finally are there any platform signs or signal boxes that can be renamed or does that require some object creation expertise?
