4MT Pack "Ferryhill Fiddle" (poss. Steam version only)
Has anyone been able to complete the "Ferryhill Fiddle" scenario from the version of the 4MT pack sold through Steam? So far, all attempts to play this has resulted in an AI crash just outside Ferryhill...

Yes, I have. It ran fine first time for me.

In the most recent version of TS2012?

Five tries, five crashes... I honestly can't see how this scenario can possibly be completed, unless you drive at full speed between the tracks and brake hard just before coupling... But even then I thin one would have a very hard time getting it all done before the offending AI train starts...

Yes. I've only had the game for a few weeks anyway but my Steam account is set to automatically update so any available patches will have been applied.USRailFan wrote:In the most recent version of TS2012?

Hmmm... So how did you do the switching at Ferryhill (i.e. at what time did you leave for the mainline) - it seems to be a timing issue here...

I've tried it on my version (7.1a) and the scenario ran fine to the end. I guess I must of been late as I appeared to hold up a couple of services. I stopped at the level crossing as instructed and the scenario ended ok once I reached the yard.

Hmm...
At what time did you leave Ferryhill (the small yard where you put together the wagons)?

To be honest, I didn't take a note of the time I left the yard but it was late enough to hold up 2 services, 1 was a steam loco which was on the same line which was waiting to get into the yard. The other was a diesel passenger service on the far side which followed me towards the Tyne yard. I'll rerun it later and make a note of the timings.

Definately a timing issue.... I was able to get out on the main without crashing by doing the "max power and then full braking" trick during the shunting...

Train assembly complete at 11:12 here.
No problems for in the scenario for me.
