A Cross City Commuter Route.
I think what MSTS needs at the moment is a route that is set in na city like Birmingham. Start the route at Redditch and then go through Birmingham to Lichfield

Well, if anyone fancies doing it pre-electrification I have a set of aerial photographic surveys taken in the mid 80's from Barnt Green station to Five Ways, and Duddeston to Lichfield TV but excluding Lichfield City for some reason, plus some aerial shots of Birmingham Snow Hill, the route of the Jewellery Line to Smethwick West etc. They were being chucked out so I rescued them on the basis that you never know when they would be useful. I intend to hang on to them but we live in an electronic age and scanning is possible.
They focus on station areas in the main and are taken from a reasonable height so there's some good surrounding detail in the shots.
Well, do we have any takers? Might just spur the development of a 116/117 DMU...

Yeah Smethwick West is closed, but still there & not looking too bad for being derilict either. It was closed in 1995 when the jewelery line was reopened & a new station opened about 200 yds from "The West",Galton bridge. I'm doing a route that includes a simplified version of Brum & its surroundings.MSTS dosent like the track layout around Brum(i.e. the soho curves etc etc) & trying to model New street with the avalible track sections takes up about a mile.So mines only got 8 platforms.
& dont even mention Bescot yard
Wales & Borders(BR) V3.1 status.
Re-released for RW. Hopefully some of you will get it to work this time.

Yes, been replaced by the slightly more useful Galton Bridge (choice of trains to Snow Hill and New Street, Wolverhampton or Stourbridge) complete with stained glass by Alexander Beleschenko who did the stained glass in the ICC, and seats designed by top international designer Ron Arad, who was selected to design seating for a Conran restaurant no less.
All located in one of the most deprived wards in the UK according to official statistics. That'll teach arch snob Brian Sewell to pontificate on uncouth yobs north of London who don't appreciate art and design. Bet he hasn't got a Ron Arad seat at his local station.
