Hi Dom

Thanks ... glad I could help. :P

If you post a good photo I could give a re-paint a try.

I downloaded and installed these, but I have a problem I haven't seen before. In game there are no wheels. I have had a look in Shape Viewer and they all appear OK, but when I click 'Animation' all the wheels have a peculiar (up & down & round & round) motion around the centre of each axle.

Anyone seen this before? Any idea on a solution?

PS. I also downloaded another set of hood wagons - repaints of the original wagon I beleieve - and get exactly the same problem.

Hi
We have had disappearing wheels before .... caused by extra brackets in the wag file.
I've had a look .... and the only thing I can see is there is no buffer section.
I'll have to get my MSTS re-started to test, in game, properly.

Cheers

Hi

Thanks for that. There is no obvious problem with the wag file. However, that would not explain the odd behaviour in Shape Viewer - I loaded *.s rather than *.wag. This behaviour also suggests no problem with Bin version, computer graphics spec, game settings etc. It seems to be an s file problem.

I inspected the *.s file (uncompressed) and noticed that the wheels have their own defined animation rather than relying on the MSTS built-in wheels11, wheels12 etc animation. I have no 3D program so I can't see what is going on, but I did copy over the animation part of another working wagon - no animation in Shape Viewer, but still no wheels in game.

Perhaps there was a fix at some point, but it is not included in the particular download above. I have googled for a fix, or a more up-to-date version, but no success.

Very odd.

Downloaded wagon runs OK for me.

Did you try to rescale it in SFM?
If so you need to edit the WheelRadius ( 33in/2 ) line first and do the sum to make it ( 16.5in )

SFM doesn't do division.

If it's got buffers it's Chain.

Hi
Thanks Ian .... saves me a job .... I know I used to run them OK a couple of years back.

@ Brace2011
The only other thing I recall stopping wheels appearing in the game .... is if your MSTS graphic qualities are turned down.

Cheers

Thanks for your help guys.

I don't know what the problem was, but I just re-downloaded and un-rared the file - hey presto it works.

Funny things, compressed files.
