ICE1 Doesn't operate as advertized

Post by adam3544 »

Unfortunately the new ICE1 doesn't operate as advertized.
The AFB and Sifa doesn't operate at all. I have this trainset from VirtualRailroads and in their scenario, AFB fully controls and limits the speed. Here, the needle and target speed display works, but not control the actual speed.
What a pity.

I think You should read the manual coming with the download: ...\Manuals\EN\vR_Manual_PDF_EN\vR_ICE1_EN.pdf

The manual that I got is named 'DB ICE1 Manual.pdf' and it misses the important detail regarding AFB - you need to press Shift + A to activate it.

In the locomotives list there are two ICE1. One with "rev" has fully operating AFB, but no Sifa, the other has no
operating one.
I've purchased from VirtualRailroads the "professional" BR143 with fully operating PZB90 and of course AFB and Sifa. The system very much mimics the authentic safety system of German rails.
