Congratulations and to paraphrase a well known speech . . .

“The gratitude of every MSTS user in our island, in our Empire, and indeed throughout the world, except in the abodes of the other one, goes out to the IOM simulator who, undaunted by odds, unwearied in the constant challenge and mortal danger, has attempted to maintain the interest in MSTS by such devotion – call it bluff if you like.”

And to carry on one might add

“Never in the field of train simulation has so much been owed to so few. All hearts go out to the simulators, whose brilliant routes and stock we see with our own eyes day after day; but we must never forget that all the time, night after night, month after month, our simulators travel far down the line, find their stations in the darkness by the highest navigational skill, aim their tracks, often under the heaviest of pressure, often with serious loss of sleep, with deliberate, careful discrimination, and create magnificent routes and stock using the whole of the technical and MSTS-making structure of the UKTS power.

On no part of the community does the weight of the effort fall more heavily than on the simulators whose unstinting efforts and invaluable advice maintain the zeal of us lesser mortals.”

Apparently my 10 year anniversary tomorrow.

Though I suspect I've been around here longer as IIRC everyone was given that date of joining when the forum software was changed.
