RWDecal no Decals in route

Post by ProRail »

Hi guys, I just ran into an issue with RWDecal. I selected the folder (on the RWDecal setup) and made a decal of a station.
But when I open the route editor I can't find them anywhere.

Any ideas would be much welcome...

Make sure you have clicked the radio button for route markers , then press F6 to name any shown markers then check the misc (sack) icon and in there you should find the markers with a GE pre fix, depending on your naming protocol.

I think you need to enable the developer filter for where your decals have been created. IF you don't enable this then the decals will not appear.

This topic will help, it is for adding stock to scenarios but the structure is the same. http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=117021

If you are looking to step into content creation, its worth taking a look at the provided tutorials on site. They can be invaluable.

No, didn't work... there is just nothing in it. I thing RWD doesn't save it in the folder I selected during setup as there is nothing in it.

Have you enabled Automatic Export on RWDecal (failing to do this will NOT export the decals into RailWorks)
If you have and there are no decals in your assets folder then the export which is done by the blueprint editor is not working. ALl RWDecal does is automate the export of decals using the built in TS2012 tools.

If the export is failing then usually this is due to a corrupt TS2012 install and some of the essential files for exporting are missing. Please verify your cache. A way to test the theory is to use the blueprint editor to export a decal rather than letting RWDecal do it automatically. If that fails then definitely a problem with your TS2012 and not RWDecal.

Please also provide as much info as possible. Screenshots of the folder where you think RWDecal should be creating the files showing what is (or is not) in there. Screenshot of your RWDecal settings etc etc. More is better as otherwise it is very difficult to help.

I now have decals in my Misc folder (like GE Hoofddorp X1Y1 all the way to X4Y3) but I still have no route markers...

The markers will only appear if your route start lat and lon values are in the same region of the world as the real route.

Have you made a route template with the correct latitude and longitude and then created your route in the game using this template?

No, I think I didn't... Used the default settings.

Will look at it later this evening.
