'From the summer of 2012' ?

Really? How far on with it are they?

Oh, and re that man that put Scotland on Ebay, maybe we should sell UK to the Emirates and be done with it.

Well, from that reliable source that is Wikipedia
Current Construction Status

Project Status

Foundation for stations Completed
Foundation for support towers In progress
Station structure Waiting
Support towers Waiting
Cable Waiting
Cabins hung Waiting
Station features Waiting
Testing Waiting

So some progress has been made; but a little way to go. Must say I'm slightly surprised that the stations aren't in progress yet?

So basically, they've laid a bit of concrete?

Don't worry, they've got 20 odd weeks yet !

Who knows - it could be that my source is not fully up-to-date :-)
