Just recovered my steam installation on my sacrificial computer and after a lengthy download I find my TS2012 now has a smaller neater HUD with different controls.
The direction control is now a switch,the speed control has plus and minus
Anybody else had this as I cannot see any reference to any update anywhere
My other two installations remain the same.

This is the first I've heard of it, and we usually know when core software updates are on the way, so I would think not.
It sounds like just you have the game set to use the simple controls in the gameplay tab of the options screen, which has a simpler HUD to reflect the simpler controls compared to those needed on the HUD for expert controls. Clear this checkbox and you'll be back to expert mode.

Thanks transadelaide you are spot on, so simple really but I have never used that mode.Still do'nt know why steam changed my settings !
