Trains and Drivers announces two new route projects

Post by micaelcorleone »

Hello all.

We are delighted to announce to you our first two route projects:

LONDON VICTORIA - BRIGHTON

The route will come together with Class 377 EMU.
Here a first WIP shot:
Image

ALASKA RAILROAD MAINLINE (southern part)

This route is a representation of Alaska RR's mainline between Anchorage and Seward, including the branchline to Whittier.
It will be fully compatible with TS2012 and is officially licensed by the Alsaska Railroad Corporation.

You can get a better impression of planned trackage if you look at this map:

Image
Alaska Mainline (southern part) is everything south of Anchorage.
This also includes the branchline to Whittier through famous road/rail Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel.
That's more than 110 miles Anchorage - Seward plus another 12 miles for the branchline to Whittier.

But the best feature of the Alaska RR is that they run the typical American freights along with their own passenger trains.

More info on both routes soon and on our Facebookpage
Cheers.

The 377 is a DMU? ;)

Along with the route, they sound good. I will be intrigued to take a look at these when they are released. :)

Oh no! :o Sorry.

I'm just too busy announcing all our new stuff everywhere that I seem to be a bit faulty.
Thank you very much for pointing out. Already changed.

I suggest you read http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 68&t=58280 in particular the last paragraph.

This sort of post is allowed but we do prefer a press release sent to the press release address. Their other announcement has gone up on the front page but not this one yet. It may still be in the works since the moderators can't see the inbound mails to the press release address.
Kindest regards

Yes, that also would have been a great idea. I own a great book with pictures form that period. I think if enough rollingstock from that time is present, why not doing a mid 1920s-1930s route? :D

As long as a 442 comes as NSE & SWT then I wouldn't mind... I just can't bring myself to call the London - Brighton a "home" route for the 442's, since they were specifically built for the 'Wessex' line(s) with the odd trip thrown down to Portsmouth now and again.
