Novice Help Please re Unavailable Stock

Post by jarmstro »

I am just starting out with trying to create some scenarios of my own and think I understand the basics.

What I cannot understand is why when I start to create a Scenario I do not have all the stock and assets I own available to me in the pull down list for placement on the track? I only seem to have a relatively small choice.

In particular I would like to create a simple scenario to drive a Class 390 on the WCML. However, the Class 390 is not available from the list in the Editor. Neither are many other trains that I have such as the 325 and TGV? I know they are on my system present and correct because I can drive them on other pre made scenarios?

How do I make all my owned assets available? Or is there a list that I haven't found?

Thanks in anticipation for any advice.

You need to click on the Object Set Filter. It's found in the middle left hand fly out.
Click on the small blue cube with an orange arrow.
Go the the right hand fly out window which is now available.
Pin it in position'
If you want the 390, go to S9BL, select the 390 and check the vacant boxes.
An asset can be enabled in both the world editor and the scenario editor or just the scenario editor depending on your preference.

It's not a particularly good system, especially now that there are a multitude of providers, and you have to know the name of the provider in order to find the stock you want to use.

Thanks but I do that and there is no S9BL or any or most of my other owned trains? They just are not in the list. Sorry to be a pain.

What I do is 1) Enter the Scenario Editor. 2) Choose WCML. 3) Choose New Scenario. 4) Set the starting station. 4) Open the Object Set Filter. But the train I want is just not there?

In that case I suggest in Steam you select Train Simulator TS2012 properties and then the DLC tab and see if Steam lists the stock you say you own. If it does I suggest you verify the cache accessed through the Local Files tab. You should then find that all is restored. If not you can try deleting the .ncf files in the steamapps folder of the stock you can't find and verify the cache again.

Have you looked in Assets/S9BL to see if you can see the 390 there?
