A4 from JT and the 5600 from Karma99

Post by RONVKING »

Hi,

Following my "upgrade" to TS2012 overall not had many hiccups bar two visual ones if TSX is on, which I prefer.

The first is known about and thats the colours on the A4's from JT. Just wish they would pull a finger or two out and sort it out. I hope the attitude is not one of, got their money so no hurry.

The other visual is the cab on the 5600 from karma99. Outside no problems but inside the gauge needles have a grey surround and also if you pull a level across the gauge front the level will also have a greyish surround. This I've not seen any mention about so not sure if thats something with my systemor what.

Any suggestion re the 5600 as I rather like that loco dispite the fact I can't drive it too well.

Cheers Ron

No solutions to offer I'm afraid Ron, but I highly doubt that is their attitude, as dure to them having to withdraw both the A4 and Streamlined Princess Coronation from sale whilst the issue is sorted out they are actually losing money

Pete is busy in A shop working on the 56xx. Cant give away what exactly he is doing, suffice to say its 'being brought up to 2012 standards'.

Im sure it will be out when Mr Collett gives the go ahead.

Hi,

Have you checked here? (Just Trains Support)

http://www.justtrains.net/faqs.asp?drdProduct=232

It solved the texturing problems for me.

Good luck,

Paul

That service pack was released before TS 2012 and does not fix the problem of the terrible blue colours now seen when using TSX on both the A4s and the Coronation. No doubt they are working to fix these before another patch is released.

I'm not arguing (just explaining why I'm right).

Hi Folks,

Thanks for the replies (I've been out until now). Wasn't aware they had withdrawn the A$ from the sales until it was sorted, that does put a different light on it and I'll withdrawn the comment.

Looking forward to both revisions when they come, and yes had been watching the support on JT's site.

To add to this, on facebook someone asked and the response was they are in the works but the Princess corries are being sorted first then the A4s will be worked on. The problem is that not just the locomotives colours changed, but the included rolling stock changed to, RSC didn't announce a change to the MK1s models with the upgrade, while needed, so the included LMS blue and red coaches for the corries textures broke aswell, plus alongside some of the A4 carriages textures also had a issue. A4s will take abit longer to fix since there is 3 packs to sort out including rolling stock.

Ah, thanks for that, I didn't realise they were going to upgrade the coaches to use the new model as well

I suggest you've got very much the wrong impression of Just Trains and the people who make our products possible. We're certainly not a "we've got your money so no hurry" sort of company, and many fingers have been "pulled out" so as work can be got on with to both fix issues caused by RW3 and on other work that was already taking place.

We will release the update(s) when we're happy to do so, and not a moment before.

Many thanks,

Simon

Now that is a great statement, just a shame that on your website the only info I can see available is 'This add-on is currently unavailable to buy while we assess its compatibility with RailWorks 3: Train Simulator 2012.' Perhaps the support pages or the Product Pages should contain info like this for customers.

Simon,

If you read the thread completely you should have seen that after a correction by another poster I also withdrew my comment.
