Hi,

This is a feature of TS2012 and most of Dave Brindleys stock I think.

Just to say that it is what I meant with that.
Hi

Problem: The part of the shadows that are supposed to be dark are white underneath Class 86, 317, 318, 455 and most
3rd rail units (Including coaches that come with them.).
How to produce: Place any of the units above and/or drive them on any route.

The 455 ought to be ok, and the new 317 - mine certainly are anyway. For the older models you need to open the softshade texture & set the alpha channel to black, it's something to do with the exporter used to produce them. That will unfortunately get rid of the shadow entirely, but it's better than how it is now.

In fact the 455 and the latest 317 are fine other than the glowing interior; the EPB takes a couple of mins to fix for all of them.

Can you supply a link to what you class as the latest 317 etc. I think I have the latest in the freeware packs but the issues is still present. I might have the wrong file.

Thanks

Well, this is strange; my 317 repaint is fine

but the default isn't - and I'm pretty sure I haven't gone near the softshade texture. The default 455 is fine, the 318 isn't. Very confusing.

To fix the EPBs ( probably will fix the others also ) put this texture in their texture folders.

Works a treat with all Dave's stock including 86's, thanks for that. :P

Thanks for this, but I'm not able to find the texture folders for the freeware EMUs, etc. I know where the wagon packs are, but not the engines.

Jim did say the freeware pack had been updated to TS 2012 and it was released 10th. November so I would guess that's the latest version.
But you will still need the softshade_long texture file that hasn't been released yet to get rid of the wrong shadow underneath the units.
I've done all my EMU's and AC locos and they work OK.
