Just Trains Class 67

Post by wynnetom440 »

Just thought i'd leave these pictures from Just Trains' facebook here....

From the sounds of things on facebook, features included will be a working computer (Slow speed control) , Driver vigilance device (DSD), working windows, two tone horn and many more to be announced!

I must say it is looking pretty fine! :D

The fact that RS.com released a competing model of the same product is probably the second-best thing that could possibly have happened to this JT product. It will force them to up the ante and make a better product, just as they had to when a competing Class Twenty was released while their version was still sitting on that 'in progress' page.

The best thing that could happen to this product would of course be inclusion in the equally long-awaited Scottish ECML route pack.

Pity it looks as though it will be branded as FWS

I wonder if they've made the brake timing switch work. I've made the RSC one change the brake timings, but I'm not really that motivated to finish it properly :p
My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

Perhaps this will encourage RS to upgrade their one to TS2012 TSX standards.

If its anything like their Voyager and class 60, it will be very impressive. OTOH, Im still glad I got the RSC one. The sleepers open up so many opportunities for scenarios.

The first video showing some of the features of the Class 67 Advanced has been posted to Facebook (version will be on YouTube soon for anyone that isn't keen on Facebook)

I suspect that this is trademark / copyright issue, the colour scheme is pretty recognisable as EWS but i guess that DB don't want commercial vendors using without a hefty license fee.

Hopefully one of the highly skilled reskinners will do a paint job that will 'fix' this as happened to the FWS class 60.

ITs very impressive yes. WOuld you be able to add some more cab movement when its moving tho? It seems that this is still lacking a bit when trians are speeding up.

Most of this depends on the setup of the track in the route, rather than the locomotive I believe

I would guess that was because the video was done on Bristol -Exeter, which has no cab sway value in the track.
