Re: BR Preserved King Loco collection
There is another way, have you tried this way, unintalling the king pack and reinstalling it?

Yes, a few times.
I edited my previous post...could you look at it and let me know if this may be part of my problem.

Re: BR Preserved King Loco collection
I'm really not sure what the problem is, here. I'm going to go through all the files again, over the weekend to see if I have made a silly error.
You don't need to select 92212 on the menu as Matt has incorporated the sounds into my kngtrains folder.
Cheers,
Kevin

First can I say these locos are brilliantly well crafted, many thanks to all concerned.kevmt wrote:Thank you very much
I've just uploaded a patch to enable the use of the RSC Hall cab with these loco's:-
Hall Cab patch for Kngtrains 3 BR Kings [36261 bytes] - King_hallcab mod.zip
File ID: 27607 Date: 11 Nov 2011 - 836 Downloads
The King cab patch is giving me a bit of trouble and this will be uploaded a little later.
Cheers,
Kevin
A question now.....Whilst looking toward the tender from the loco cab there's a gap of
about 5ft. The loco and tender are not connected but travel together as if they are.
Will the above patch fix this, or is this a known problem, or possibly something wrong with my
set up?
Thanks,
Fred
Re: BR Preserved King Loco collection
It's not an issue with your system, it's just the way the Hall cab is set up. It's not properly optimized for the longer King model. I think a quick edit to the Bin file may fix this issue, but I haven't tried yet so I can't say.oldsandals wrote:

There is nothing wrong with your set up, it is just down to the fact the hall cab was modelled in a different position, to where the cab should be on the Kings. There is nothing I can do about this, I'm afraid, as it isn't possible to edit the Hall cab.
All I can suggest is not trying to look at the cab floor!!!
There will still be a gap when i release the patch to enable the use of the RSC King cab with my loco. I presume this is down to the fact that RSC and myself have placed our main pivot points in different places on the loco. It probably would be possible for me to move the pivot point on my loco's but this would entail me having to redo all the animations on the loco's.
As, I seem to recall, these locos have about 34 moving parts to re-animate (due to it having full internal rod animation) and so I doubt this will probably happen!!
Cheers,
Kevin

There's plenty else good to look at so I'll just have to contain myself until I get to a station!
Thanks,

Re: BR Preserved King Loco collection
After uninstalling and re-installing my entire route, and ticking off Kuju and Kngstrains, this is what I have.
See pics.
The game did crash when I tried to go from the Scenario editor to the actual scenario.
I had to re-start the game to get to the scenario.
I have crash report .DMP files, but cannot read them.
All other KingsTrains appear and work fine but these. (See pics)

Hmm.
* Do they use the same driver model
* Do they use the same bogie audio control entry

My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

Thats a good question Kariban.Kariban wrote:Hmm.

I have no idea. I've not gotten into train creation yet. But, this is a good question for Kevin.
He is doing his best at the moment to get to the bottom of this.
Hopefully we will have it sorted out soon.
Re: BR Preserved King Loco collection
Just to update things, I've been working with ottobear2 with the problem he has with the dissapearing loco's.
We've finally narrowed the problem down to a couple of whistle sound files that were referencing to a a Tornado sound file marker. If you don't have this (tornado) loco installed then you may not see the King loco's in a scenario. (but you can see it in the scenario editor)
I can't believe that it's only Dave who has had this problem, so to anybody who has been experiencing the "missing loco" problem, then I will be releasing a patch to put this right fairly soon (as well as correcting a couple of other things)
I'd just like to thank Dave, for pointing out the problem and for all the hard work he has done testing out different things out for me.
Cheers,
Kevin
