Re: BR Preserved King Loco collection
I've been trying to reproduce the missing loco problem by varying all the options in Railworks, but had no luck so far, I'm afraid.

I'm not going to answer any physics questions, yet, as you may as well be talking another language as far as I'm concerned
I will pass on the comments to the physics author, though.
I'm almost certain that he has access to O S Nocks books and used these when originally writing the physics.
Cheers,
Kevin

Hopefully, Kevin and Matt will enjoy!
It sounds much better than it does on my own computer.
I really need a new computer but it's hard to justify the expense for just one game!
Cheers,
Kevin

Re: BR Preserved King Loco collection
Your probably right...now to find out why?Kariban wrote:There's two possible causes for invisible stock:
* The blueprint can't find the shape file
* One of the child objects in the blueprint can't find some important file - "Sometimes I can see them in the scenario editor, but they refuse to show in the actually scenario. - this would lead me to suspect this is the problem. Unfortunately diagnosing those is hard enough when they're on your PC in front of you!
I CAN both see them in the editor, and in game IF I only use the default routes.
Trying to place them in MY route they are invisible. They are there, as I get the distinctive "Dink" when I place my cursor near the track.
I know of no way of telling the blueprint where the file it is looking for is, other than selecting the corresponding developer in the right hand fly-out.
I have taken Kevin's advice and turned off TSX and used a default route(Test Track). They show up perfectly in both the editor and game. (See pics)
Just for S&G’s I turned TSX back ON and tried the Test Track Scenario where I had added the trains, and all is perfect. (Beautiful)
Unfortunately, they still refuse to show in my route in either area.
I have enclosed some pics.
This is very puzzling, what do the default tracks have, that mine do not?
Just to be clear...are there any other development folders(right side fly-out), that need to be ticked other than Kuju, and Kingstrains?
Maybe there is a conflict(hard to imagine), with some other developers trains as I have quite a few and most of them are ticked. (takes about 20 mins to tick them all.)
But, I’m beginning to think this may be the case as, the default tracks have no problems.
I have no developer assets in my source/developer/route folders. Just the blueprints for the track and markers.
I do have a few other assets that refuse to show in the editor, but I think this was because I downloaded some Re-skins of payware without reading to closely.
However if I select them from the list there is no indication that they exits...fair enough. These trains on the other hand, do make the distinctive “Dink” when you place the mouse near the track.
This is really a head scratcher.

Thanks for the help Tom,BristolCastle wrote:Hi Otterbear2

I make it a habit of "clearing the cache" every time before I start the game.
I noticed that this doesn't always work, so I have cleared out all .pak files manually.
No Dice,
I even scrapped the old scenario and started from scratch.
Ticking only Kuju and Kingstrains in the developer fly-out.
Still invisible.
This is really starting to get on my nerves as, the files are in the right place or the Default routes wouldn't be able to see them.
I've spent quite a lot of time on this route and its the little glitches like this that can really take the wind out of your sails.
Thanks for the feedback though, I must be missing something just as simple, if I could only narrow it down.

Re: BR Preserved King Loco collection
Maybe try enabling the 92212 folder in editor?
I get this same problem with other locos.

Re: BR Preserved King Loco collection
Thank you very much
I've just uploaded a patch to enable the use of the RSC Hall cab with these loco's:-
The King cab patch is giving me a bit of trouble and this will be uploaded a little later.
Cheers,
Kevin

I just noticed that the "4000 gallon" tenders seem to only hold 3360 gallons. I just whack them into a free roam and assume they're fully loaded by default?

Re: BR Preserved King Loco collection
the same as you would enable the kngtrains folder. go into the scenario editor click the blue train icon, then click the blue box below it. Go into the flyout on the right side of the screen and scroll to 92212 and click the checkboxes.
and (if you havent already) click the kngtrains box

I don't have a 92212 asset folder in the my right-side fly-out to tick off.VernonDozier wrote:the same as you would enable the kngtrains folder. go into the scenario editor click the blue train icon, then click the blue box below it. Kuju and Kngstrains boxes are ticked.
Edit:
OK, so I decide to uninstall my route, and re-install from a backup.
But after uninstalling I get this when I attempt to install the backup rwp.
(see pic)
Does anyone know if this is Normal? I assumed that uninstalling the package, would in effect, delete it from the route folder. Do I have to manually remove all traces of my route AFTER uninstalling it?
