I tried making a scenario where you have to wait on the platform for your train to arrive and then take it over by clicking it but it's not working for me. Everything in the scenario is fine. No failed drivers or whatnot. The train arrives in the station fine but when it comes to a stop I can't click it. The driver properties has the player loco checkbox unchecked (I verified this with another scenario where you had to take over the loco and it's the same).
The route is: China clay for export
The loco is: class 33
Any clues?
Can't click on and take over locomotive.

Is there an invisible polygon between you and the train? Sometimes a station canopy is made by building a shed and then making most of it transparent.
The key to knowledge is not to rely on others to teach you it.

I don't think so. I tried clicking the loco where it starts and at the station when it arrives and both don't work.Kromaatikse wrote:Is there an invisible polygon between you and the train? Sometimes a station canopy is made by building a shed and then making most of it transparent.

Is it a timetabled scenario? This procedure only works in that scenario type

Yeah it's timetabled. Do all services have to have a timetable though? The only trains in it that have timetables are the passenger trains.

No, that shouldn't make a difference in my experience
Re: Can't click on and take over locomotive.
Has it been compiled using a timetabled scenario marker? (That's rather different than having anything to do with trains having timetables.) If it's using a standard scenario marker it won't work for you.
