Hi,
I've done my share of 'moaning' of late, justifiably in my opinion, but now its time to give deserved credit. The optimised 455 is a pleasurable experience to drive. I've just played the Sunday Shuttle on Portsmouth Direct and changed the weather conditions to wet. The wipers work fine, you get a bit of sway over pointwork, and a bit of bounce on changes in gradient. The motor sounds are good and all in all it's a good'un! The only thing I did wrong was forget to turn off the wipers when I changed ends at Guildford so on the return leg I had 'double wiper sounds'!
Not a moan, but is there any way you can pull back the cab view a bit so you can see more of the controls?
Anyway, well done RS.com/ThomsonInteractive.
Geoff

Re: Class 455 optimised
Yes it is better, however I have a concern about the physics, I don't think it accelerates as before?

Re: Class 455 optimised
It's still got 3000kW as a unit
. Ignoring losses the real thing has 250hp per carriage ( about 186kW ), you can't expect them to be rocketships. I'm experimenting with setting the DTSOs to 0 power and leaving the MSO powered, seems to be working ok atm.
My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

A round of applause to Thomson Interactive!
Updating its products to TS2012 standards, has demonstrated seriousness and attention to customers, which at the time you can not just say for the majority of its competitors...
I will buy Class 150 for sure, thanks!
