Re: Station Lighting Enhancement Pack - Armstrong Powerhouse
Looks great, I'll be purchasing this one later on...
I have to say though, I think its a shame RSC couldn't have included default route station lighting in the TS2012 update, although that probably wouldn't have helped sales of Horseshoe Curve... Anyway, here's hoping the DLC routes are updated soon.

Looking good.
Just one question: how many shadow casting lights have you used? I've found that, for me, any number slows my frame rate down, and if there's a few in an area, I'll drop down to a stuttery 14 fps or so.

Re: Station Lighting Enhancement Pack - Armstrong Powerhouse
No shadow casting lights have been used for that reason as we found they were just too expensive resources wise.
Re: Station Lighting Enhancement Pack - Armstrong Powerhouse
I´m afraid but it does´nt work for me, although TSX is on: only the roof glass is lit but no light falls into the station.

Re: Station Lighting Enhancement Pack - Armstrong Powerhouse
Sorry to hear that Michael! Which station are you having this problem with?
Re: Station Lighting Enhancement Pack - Armstrong Powerhouse
I have tried the scenario that came with the pack: there the lamps cast a dim light on the platform. Paddington is totally dark. Is it possible that I must also install the Lighting enhancement pack? (I did not re-install this one after the Ts2012 update).

I wouldn't have thought so Michael, they are assets placed within the editor and have nothing to do with the weather/lighting files.michaelth wrote:I have tried the scenario that came with the pack: there the lamps cast a dim light on the platform. Re: Station Lighting Enhancement Pack - Armstrong Powerhouse
I'm afraid I have the same issue as Michaelth. Dim light on the platforms of paddington but generally total darkness. I have the lighting pack from AP installed also.

You may need to clear your blueprint cache. You can do that by going to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorCore and deleting the file called 'Blueprints.pak'.michaelth wrote:I have tried the scenario that came with the pack: there the lamps cast a dim light on the platform. On a separate note, the lights have actually been added as child objects to relevant scenery items instead of editing the route itself.

Re: Station Lighting Enhancement Pack - Armstrong Powerhouse
Just a quick note, I deleted the blueprint cache and re-installed the pack and it's working now. The first time I tried playing, I had the "All day lighting" patch applied. So i'm going to apply it again and try the same scenario to see if it was the blueprints or the patch being awkward.phat2003uk wrote:You may need to clear your blueprint cache. Edit: Installed the patch again, re-tried the Chasing Yellows scenario (Pad-Ox) and the station was dark again. The scenario start's at 18:04 in the winter. So not sure if i'm mis-reading and applying the wrong patch or not.
Anyway, from what i've had a glimpse at, looks great. Any chance of a patch to have the lights on constantly, regardless of the time/season ?

It does seem the 'All Day Lighting' patch is to blame here. Apologies about that, I really don't know how that crept in at the last minute! If you re-download, all should be well.

Richard
Just ran your scenario that came with your Station Lighting Enhancement pack. What a superb piece of work that pack is! It adds hugely to the atmosphere and IMHO, actually tales RW3 to the next level. Well done!
