Re: Network Rail New Measurement Train reavmp
Oh, and to add:
3 - shouldn't there be a third (spare) powercar? IIRC the NMT can choose between four different HST powercars, three of which are buffered?

43013, 43014 have buffers
43062 doesn't
43089 was used for a time, but was a hybrid trial by Hitachi, now in use as a normal power car on EMT
Re: Network Rail New Measurement Train reavmp
43013,43014 & 43062 all got coverted to mtu and new headlights but the 4th hst 43154 never got done and went to FGWewsjo wrote:3, 2 of which are bufferedUSRailFan wrote:IIRC the NMT can choose between four different HST powercars, three of which are buffered?

Re: Network Rail New Measurement Train reavmp
OK, so that's corrected re the powercars then. However, even after doing a re-download, re-install and re-deletion of blueprints, I still have only two intermediate cars show up in the selection list, and only one of them actually showing up when placed...

Re: Network Rail New Measurement Train reavmp
If I recall correctly, the names used to begin OV... as this reskin required the Oovee Buffer pack. Whether the new versions follows the same naming policy I don't know, not had chance to download and install it yet, but try looking further down than BR MK3.
Re: Network Rail New Measurement Train reavmp
Nope, only stuff under OV is the normal HST Buffers stuff (Grand Central, Virgin, and BR ICS).

2 - the BR Mk3-HST NR TGS-1 won't show up when placed, only its couplers. Yes, I have deleted blueprints.
I have exactly the same problem.
Re: Network Rail New Measurement Train reavmp
More importantly (perhaps), as I haven't downloaded these yet has the cabview been 'fixed'? I.e the Oovee buffer pack 43's cabview doesn't work if TSX is switched on (garbled mess out of windscreen / side windows). (I did raise a ticket with Oovee about this issue and got a reply to say that they'll take a look).

Looks like something's definately been left out then.clivejames1st wrote:USRailFan wrote:There's got to be something wrong here?? I downloaded the new NMT, went into the game and tried to place it on TestTrak, only to discover the following:

Yes looking at the folder contents I would certainly say so. Could be wrong though!

Yes it has - that was the point…AndyM77 wrote:More importantly (perhaps), as I haven't downloaded these yet has the cabview been 'fixed'? I will fix it tomorrow morning or so as I am currently unable to restart my computer as I am upgrading my life… (Just a new iPhone/Mac update that is taking a long time to download)

Re: Network Rail New Measurement Train reavmp
Just to let you know I have removed it from download until it is fixed...
Re: Network Rail New Measurement Train reavmp
It looks to me that the car that does not appear in-game when placed (the previously mentioned BR Mk3-HST NR TGS-1) isn't really supposed to be in the package, given how it is numbered similar to one of the powercars (assuming the powercars are 1 and 7 and the intermediate cars 2-6)? Also the BR Mk3-HST NR-2 car should perhaps be renamed to comply with the naming of the other three cars?
Also, the intermediate cars seem to be placed in separate directories under the /Passenger assets folder, instead of grouped in the /HST folder as with the default HSTs and the other repaints, why? Seems to me that this only causes unnecessary duplication of files/folders?
(Personally I'd have preferred a naming similar to how the default HST cars are named, in order to make them easier to find in the pull-down list, but I am sure there are reasons for naming them otherwise...)

Re: Network Rail New Measurement Train reavmp
Yep-It shouldn’t be there although it does show fine on my computer in testing so I left it. Something else is wrong (and I will remove it in the morning). The rest of the naming - if the package was correct is fineUSRailFan wrote:It looks to me that the car that does not appear in-game when placed (the previously mentioned BR Mk3-HST NR TGS-1) isn't really supposed to be in the package, given how it is numbered similar to one of the powercars (assuming the powercars are 1 and 7 and the intermediate cars 2-6)? Yep. Its the way I wanted to do it. There almost no duplication. I wanted them out of the HST folder…just because-well I have a lot of other Mk3s that are not part of a HST set. there ere two folders of coaches since how else do I do a different colour roof and bogeys on one of the coaches...USRailFan wrote: Also, the intermediate cars seem to be placed in separate directories under the /Passenger assets folder, instead of grouped in the /HST folder as with the default HSTs and the other repaints, why? All my stock is named similarly. It makes sense when you use my copy of Railworks. The default ones are more messy.USRailFan wrote: (Personally I'd have preferred a naming similar to how the default HST cars are named, in order to make them easier to find in the pull-down list, but I am sure there are reasons for naming them otherwise...)
Its simple:
BR Mk3 (its a Mk3 coach) HST (no buffers) NR-1 (tells you what sort-in this case a custom version with a formation indicator)
It also works:
BR Mk3 (its a Mk3 coach) Loco (with buffers or coupler for locos) SLE (tells you what sort - in this case sleeper) Scotrail (Set name) np (if needed to indicate a no passenger version)
It makes sense to me fine
