Route Assets

Post by Kevin99 »

Hello All,

I have reached the point where I want to issue my route, I have been building this over a long period of time. Duie to lack of planning I have used quite a lot of non standard items non of which I made a record of at the time. To prepare my release notes I want to issue a list of Items. I have found a number but I beleive that the list is incomplete.

Can anyone advise as to the best way of identifying these?

Also I assume all items in the Kuju directory are standard is this correct??

Many thanks

Been there!

There is a useful function in RWTools that will list all the assets used in the route, and also identify which are default. I can't remember exactly where but the manual will tell you.

You will then have to work out which files they are, and if bundling them as an asset pack with the route check read mes or get permission.

One to watch is where people have used kuju / rail simulator as a developer rather than using their own ID, but that tends to be from the early days. In most cases they will be default.

Hope that helps

In RW_Tools, select Check Route for your route. This will bring up a list of missing Assets if any, you will of course need to rectify this. You are then asked if you want to see a list of shapes used. Select this and when the list appears, click the 'Remove Duplicates' button and you are then left with a list of all the Assets used by the route, each asset will say if it is Default or not.

You can save or print this list. Delete the default items and the list you have left is what you need to include with the route if you can get permission, otherwise you will need to tell the end users what they need and where to download them.

Hello All,

Making progress with this task but as usual I have managed to get stuck with the last few bits and pieces.

I have been trying to Identify the following items in UKTrainsim so I can include the UKTrainsim File numbers in the route release notes but with no luck.

Looking for Decapod WR Platform
Icepack Stoneshed
Great Northerner Oil Tanks
Karma99 Level Crossing

I have even down loaded the full list searched it and sight checked all to no avail

I think thats all, One thing I must add is that the search in UKTrainsim is difficult to use are there any instructions?

Pete's (Karma99)'s lovely work is available here:

Note that since making these, new working default level crossings have been included which you may prefer. If you just want them cosmetic rather than working then stick with these.
