Yes, the cover of the box as shown by Amazon does show that but that doesn't mean that it's written in stone that it's included. A bus went by me this afternoon.... 'Boots the Chemist' was wrote on the side in very large letters, but I doubt I could have bought some asprins from it.....
You never know the bus driver might have had some spare though :P

Hitachi, Ltd. is a Japanese multinational corporation specializing in high-technology and services
Doesn't sound very British to me :-?

Ok point taken. I just thought maybe for a second that it was some kind of hint from Derek.

...and you may be surprised at what you find on buses nowadays. ;)

Dont think it's the Hitachi to be honest. What's the point of putting in a train/route that's aimed for introduction five years from now? One might use the Class 308 as a point of reference, but the virtual model was only ready a year before the introduction on the real network :)

To keep the wild speculation going... Derek did mention that the new UK content was "futuristic", but it's possibly worth considering the fact that futuristic doesn't necessarily mean "from the future". I can think of a couple of futuristic-looking UK trains that are well and truly cemented in the past.

He also said "If anyone follows my personal blog you may have seen it talked about once or twice" Now I don't recall anything futuristic on Derek's blog :P

Class 141? Not quite sure that was ever considered as futuristic though, not even back in it's day :P

Before I saw the box cover, I was going to throw my two cents in as a Siemens Velaro trainset (which by U.S. standards is several locomotives all coupled together :P).

Something does not look right about the box arts style
Image
And Compare it to the American box, and the older boxes for Railworks, railsim etc.
Image
It just doesn't seem right, especially seeing as UK box is published concept art unlike previous boxes :D

The loco on the front of the box doesn't necessarily have to be in game...look at the UK cover of Trainz Ultimate Collection for example. The unit on the front was not seen in game. Actually quite misleading if you ask me.

Well the box isn't final. Otherwise there would be the PEGI 3 rating on it, not the US ESRB E rating.
