Thanks for posting this Mick, sadly it made no difference to frame rates on my PC.
But it did stop the cores in use being stuck at 100%, and I'm happy it worked for you
I'm not going to moan though as there's people here that can't even run it. At least I can do that.
Good luck everyone,
Shad.

But that multi-core button is for debug purposes anyway. Isn't it?

Re: Train Simulator 2012 (Part 2)
Hi everyone.
I'm having a bit of a problem with getting RW3 to run.
With the TSX engine off I can have my settings in the options menu up to max with no problems, in fact I see an increase in performance; but....
With these settings:

and

I get

My Computers Specs are:
Apple IMac late 2006
Windows Xp running under boot camp.
Intel Core 2 CPU 2.00 GHz
3GB of Ram
ATI Radeon X1600
Any help would be much appreciated.

OK, a fix for you: as I suspected, the scenery in shade and poor signal visibility is down to the weather pattern. Edit your scenario and change the weather pattern to 'Hazy' - distant scenery is much improved along with signal visibility.pjt1974 wrote:Hi Steve
Yes, the terrain and scenery are in the shade apart from within a 50 metre(or so) radius of the view point. I just thought it was becuase it was getting dark naturally
Hope this helps.

Re: Train Simulator 2012 (Part 2)
I am using this on my main PC.

Gives me 22 FPS on those settings at Reading heading for London. Note I did also enable multicore after taking the screen shot.
Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 (3000MHz)
4 GB Memory
Win 7 Professional (32 bit).
Nvidia GT 430 1GB Memory + 280.26 drivers
