I know there is a running thread on this already, but I think there should be one dedicated to gratitude for what has become one of my very favourite routes!

So thank you, Stuart and all who contributed to this fantastic package. I am now reliving an era I have never seen with my own eyes, and I am now becoming fond of something I wasn't particularly fond of. Again, I have never seen the GWR era, but this just feels right! Driving the King at speed from Bristol is just a pleasure to behold . Thanks again!

Yes, I must say thankyou. I've been waiting for a Bristol route, and they're like buses. 2 come at once! First JT with the Modern and Stuart with the 'Retro'.

I must admit Bristol to Exeter in the 1930s would be a very interesting thing to have a crack at. I recently bought a book featuring the photographs of Norman Lockett and that was quite a large chunk of what he photographed.

Im glad what I have done is building some interest in the GWR. I realize its not a subject that appeals to everyone, but there in my mind was something wonderfully evocative of the way they did business. Copper topped machines in Brass and Green paint that resembled nothing so much as Bentley racing cars. Apparently little used stations that were a joy to look at, and were a heart of the community in which they lay. Commendable service, work properly done, pride in the job etc etc.

Yes, we will not see their like again.

Promise I will get around to some more Diesel scenarios too. Im sure Class 52 fans wouldnt object to a few scenarios to show them off. There was also a high speed service hauled by two Class 37s that might be rather interesting to do as well.

Needless to say, if anyone wants to see something in particular, flag it up on my route building thread (or here). I cant promise Ill get back to it soon, but judging by the amount of interest in it, it strikes me that it would be unwise of me to finish adding to it as I was considering doing. I though everyone would be having no end of problems with it, but it seems gratifyingly few, to my general puzzlement.
