Re: how to higher my framerates
A quick Google search found your laptop specs...

You say it's suddenly dropped - have you installed/uninstalled anything on the laptop recently? What framerates are you getting now, and what were you getting before?
I tend to be suspicious of laptop graphics, as they are not always cut out for gaming.

I'd see if the Task Manager is showing up any processes that you don't need running, which can happen if you install something and it automatically configures as a start up item. Check the system tray and open up the Task Manager with Control+Alt+Delete and then click on the processes tab (which will show you everything that your PC is currently running). Check the CPU usage as well in Task Manager.

It could be time to defrag your hard drives perhaps, which can help the performance of RailWorks.

How do i defrag my hard drives?
Re: how to higher my framerates
Assuming you're running some version of Windows type defrag into your operating system's Help facility search box and it will lead you through step by step.

Re: how to higher my framerates
Hi it gives me a list of disks to defrag which one is it if its railworks then it is not apearing in the list.
Re: how to higher my framerates
If you let RailWorks install to the default location then the disk you need to defrag wil be "c". You can check where RailWorks is installed by right clicking on its desktop shortcut and then clicking on 'Properties'. Make sure the 'Shortcut' tab is selected on the window that pops up and the location of RailWorks will be shown in the box marked 'Target'.

Re: how to higher my framerates
You would need to defrag the drive on which you installed Railworks - only you will know which drive on your system this is.

Re: how to higher my framerates
Typically RailWorks would be on the same hard-drive that you have your Steam-client installed on.
Also, defragging all of the hard-drives on your computer can generally help improve overall system performance.
A good time to do this would be when you're not going to be be using your computer for a while (going out, having a nap, etc..), as defragging hard-drives can sometimes take a while (depending on factors such as how big is the hard-drive, how many files and folders, how badly fragmented it is and such).

Re: railworks framerates
I recall from your previous posts that you had an Acer Aspire 5551
http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 1&t=116854
This has an integrated graphics chipset, so is never going to give you particularly great framerates (in my opinion).
What settings are you using for detail & textures in Railworks? If they are set to HIGH, then I suggest that you try setting them lower and see how that affects the framerate. Turn procedural flora off aswell.
