Viewing CR2 images in XP

Post by Trainguy76 »

Hiya, I have a Canon DSLR which can take pictures in RAW (.CR2), however, I cannot view them at all (or edit them in Photoshop). I'm using Windows XP SP3, does anyone recommend any ways to be able to view and edit my pictures?

Hi

This suggests that a .RAW to jpg converter is available as part of Canon software;

http://www.canon.co.uk/For_Home/Product ... ftware.asp

If you didn't get a disk with your camera, you may be able to download from Canon.
(With Nikon you can...)

Cheers

which version of photoshop?

The later versions have a RAW convertor which is updated reasonably regularly- check http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/ ... ftpID=5111 and follow the links for the appropriate version of Photoshop.
