Zombie from the Crypt!

Post by MuddleandGoesNowhere »

Hi guys,

Clearing out my old MSTS stuff from when I was on here a few years back; thought you would be interested as per the "Give us your old stuff" thread!

I've got a load of .gmax and misc .s files which I'll try to categorise:

M&GN
What I focused on mainly; a load of the old version files for all the stock on my website and some stuff which never got released. The Beyer Peacock 4-4-0 that's in my sig is in there; it's a pretty freelance design which could be used for a lot of conversions I'd imagine, that's in there with tender etc.

M&GN 4-4-0 Class A (Beyer Peacock)
M&GN 0-6-0T Fox Walker
M&GN 10t Goods Brake Van
M&GN Box Van
M&GN EMR 4 Wheeled coach
M&GN Lowside Goods
M&GN Highside Goods
Midland Railway noticeboard
Something labelled as "cannibal loco" - no idea!

Gowin to Nowhere
Some misc files for what was then a stillborn project. Uploaded some, but here's the rest. Did it ever get finished?
AEC Coal Lorry x2 + low poly
Coal Sacks
Coal Sheds x2
Coal Staithes x2
Grounded Coach body
Permanent way hut
Weighbridge
Station signs

BATS Stuff.
Before BATS went, they asked me to do some odds and ends for them. Don't get excited, it's nothing much; some WW2 era bits and some huts.
Permanent way huts x4
WW2 Shelters x2
Pillbox
Fire buckets x2

Commissions.
Amounts to a tank engine in pieces for an old community CD and a few freight anims to increase detail on a couple of models.

I've also got a backup of gmax with saved internet pages of various tutorials on loco building, valve gear and scenery too.

Catches? Well, apart from the usual "credit where credit is due," I've not been able to find the textures... Will shout if I do, they may be on an old PC. If not, it's a case of remapping them, which isn't too hard as the source files are all there.

So.... yeah, message or pm if you are interested!

Oh, and I'm also chucking up some CDs on ebay if someone wants to complete a collection or get some of the ace stuff that was out back in the day. I don't think you can get the 3dtrainstuff like the branch line collection unless by download now; but could be wrong.

All the best, guys! It was good fun!

Hehe! Hi Jim, I'm back to clear up but I'm not online every day! How are things? Still got your Wolseley? How's the collection of leccy insulators? Hope all is well! Drop me an email if you've still got my addy, be good to catch up!

Ian, I'll see what I can do with the Class A. Although I've lots of build files, I think I only have a working model of it on my old computer, probably as complete as it's likely to be, just missing crew I think. It may have a Scotsman Eng file; or one nicked from another engine though. I've got a few books with stats to make it more realistic if that helps.

Don't suppose you've still got an alpha or beta version of the route, have you :-?
A lot of people spent a long, cold week-end in Derbyshire working on this, (Should also add "boozy" ) plus subsequent time and effort only for the route to go AWOL (Long story)
I'd really like to see it finished, and am willing put some effort in when current projects are complete, however I lost my copy in a crash a while back, and an alternative copy of the route still eludes me :(

Cheers

No, 'fraid not! Was only a model builder, never saw anything other than screenshots of the route...

As I remember a chap withe a tram in his avatar, I think it was doug knightly was a holder of a lot of the stuff - although as you say that there is some 'history' I'm not sure I'm tha up to date; talking with Jimmyladd reminds me that it must be about 3-4 years ish since I was last here!

Wish you luck in the search.
