That's an easy one gptech.
Go to the station, take the train and look around.
There is no more (or less): what you see is what you get and that is what defines realism
Without accidents and without delay, everything is almost perfect.
My longest trip was from Brussels to Rimini (Italy).
We had not one "stutter"
I was 20 years old. (today 62).

Nope

I can attest to the fact that raindrops do add ambience to the simulator experience. In Flight Simulator X raindrop effects are sadly missing from the virtual cockpit (not implemented in the final code), something that was present in FS2004. There are a handful of third party planes where individual developers have coded in their own raindrop effects, but it's something you really do miss once you have had it. :)

To see how effective raindrop effects can be take a look at this FS2Crew trailer for the iFly 737 using FS2004.

I'm surprised there's been little mention of the "rubber banding" problem, which to me is the main problem in railworks, if that is sorted in railworks 3 then any other improvements to me, would be a bonus.

Now for the cheeky bit, any chance of a video, of a longish train taken from a close, static side view with the train moving off from a standing start.

For ME it is purely about the authenticity of the railway operational side of things.
Something that RS,RW & RW2 has never been much good at.
It is something that a railway simulator that i recently stopped using, does exceptionally well.
To clarify why i stopped using. Very briefly it was about the quality of UK models.
If i could have the visual quality of RW2 loco and rollingstock models, combined with the AI & signalling qualities of the other rail sim.
That to me would be 75% along the road to perfection.
