Hi all,
Been making a scenario on the Edinburgh - Glasgow. It all seems to run perfectly when using the test function in the scenario editor, but when I go to play it, a number of AI Trains remain stationary and do not move, and they are not even at red signals or anything.
Any ideas?

Re: AI Trains not moving
Have you checked them out with the Timetable View? That may give a pointer to what is going on. Even then, that doesn't always help. I had an AI that had a clear path & checked out fine, but wouldn't shift. I had it running straight to a portal with no instructions, adding 1 instruction made it move as intended.

Further to this phenomenon...
Now on my third attempt at creating a scenario for the E-G route. After some frustrating tests with stationary AI trains that wouldn't budge, I studied them, and it appears they start moving as intended, but then grind to a halt after a minute or two.
All the trains that are causing these problems are running into a terminus station, but for purposes of keeping the station clear for arriving AI traffic, I've got them turning round and heading for a portal. They therefore have more than one instruction. I've checked the timetable editor, and they all have times, there are no errors and it all seems fine and dandy.
Any further hints and tips on solving this issue will be really appreciated. I've looked through these pages, and found this issue has been raised before, but there are no definitive answers.
I've fiddled around long enough with the scenario editor to know how it works. The ultimate goal is to create several real timetable scenarios for this route, as I'm utilising correct timetables and headcodes, etc...

Re: AI Trains not moving
The AI can be frustrating at times, especially if you are using real timings. Try & have a play about with the performance %, as it can make a difference. Also, with regards to running the AI back out of the station, are you actually going to see all the AI at the station, or will you be passing them further along the line? If you pass them well away from the terminus, I would route them straight to a portal, it gives the dispatcher less to think about

Re: AI Trains not moving
Thanks for that. Spent some time this afternoon fiddling with the AI trains and routing some straight to portals, and that seems to have solved the problem. I managed to drive the scenario to completion with no problems.
Now to go back, put in all the static sets, make some minor adjustments and it's done.
Thanks again for your help
