The only thing is your not building north are you  or are you going to leave that one to me :D it will be great when you and me are both finished, you can run a full Northern Rail timetable! from Nunthorpe to Newcastle, not quite to Hexham yet though.

Hi Mike

I am going to concentrate on the lower parts first, Saltburn line, Esk Valley etc. I cannot promise I wouldn't go North, at least to Egalescliffe, simply because it would naturally extend the route once I had ran out of miles but I would not do it until you were finished and released.

That's fair enough for me my friend I can't wait to see the end result, I don't blame you for wanting to build you local route I was exactly the same as you on that score. Middlesbrough looks great Darren, The custom shelters are spot on. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Mike. It's actually the third time of trying really, I did it originally in RS and released a poor beta, that fell off the wayside. When RW came out I started again, that fell off the wagon so to speak. So I am going to do it this time, but encapsulating the area rather than concentrating on one line. So yes, we will overlap at some point, but yours will definetely be released first, it's going to be a good representation of the area. :D

Superb work Darren. The Station looks brilliant and you have captured the atmosphere very well. Using your own custom built Assets just adds to the realism. I will be following this Topic with interest.
Kind regards James.

For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

Talk about leaving a thread to die a death! As the usual lack of spare time kicks in, it's hard to find small pockets to get anything done on this route given I have a major project in it's latter stages and also Cresston to finish and release. However, I am still beavering away on this route, at least from an asset point of view in anticipation of a version 1 beta. It's hard not to get carried away when building assets, obviously every location in the world is different and it can be difficult to pick and choose what should be built and what shouldn't, or whether you should just concentrate on major landmarks and stations and that is what I have chosen to do initially.

Here are some shots of a small portion of what will be an enormous amount of custom content for the route, textures for some are not final as yet.

Great to see this still going strong Darren & the Newport bridge looks great as well, with this route, ECML modern, Darlington to Bishop Auckland & my own Durham Coast Line route I think we have the North East well and truly covered!!! :D

Mike

PS I don't supose you have a spare copy of the Newport Bridge do you

Only need the Wensleydale railway, Tyne Valley and Boulby potash line and think that'd be the whole North East covered, happy driving days to come :D
