Class 24, Congratulations!

Post by MikeTrams »

Hey all! I have some exciting news which some of you may find very interesting. As a thank you too all the community for support people have given on community sites such as UKTS, Facebook and others! The Class 24 has now gone Freeware! There have been a few conversations about freeware and I don’t want to add to the augment or for it to continue here. If you don’t like the model the fair enough, but it’ll probably decrease the chances of things happening like this again, but your free to say what you like, as long as it’s under the forum rules! Trying to make people happy these days seems to be hard to do these days…Though this only applies to a minor few and before I start going on about it I’ll get back to what this thread is meant to be about! Haha!

Download page: http://www.meshtools.co.uk/class-24

There are two download links…One of them will work! :P I’ll be uploading to UKTS as well so the server doesn’t blow up or anything! :)

Sorry for going on just then, anyway enjoy! :D

Cheers,
Mike

Also, I made some improvements to the website so it should work a lot faster! :)

You open it with WinRAR (or 7Zip) and then install the .rwp file (presumably) inside it into Railworks the ordinary way.

Great move Mike! I purchased this a while back and have been thoroughly pleased with it, and even as a paying customer I say your release of it as freeware is a move to be applauded by all, and it is a move sure to bring in extra customers. :D After all, I've well and truly got my money's worth from it already so why does it matter to me if other people are now getting it for free?

Further to that, I think this move is something that should be imitated by RS.com with some of their oldest items.

I can confirm this is correct, extract the RAR file's contents and you'll find a .rwp file and a PDF manual.

Can you walk us through exactly what you did? In case you got a bad download (could be your software, your internet connection or the download serve causing this) the size should have been 78.2 MiB.

I chose rar because it was good compression, sounds like the download may have corrupted, download again and see what happens!

Thanks for your comments! :)

Mike

I've had the 24 for a while but this is a very nice gesture nonetheless. It's a very fine model with plenty of variations and the distinctive appearance has been very well captured in my opinion.

Thanks

Steve
