After a couple of months of forced absence from railworks I am currently downloading and re-installed from steam.
Before my old system demise I took a full backup of my railworks installation.
Am I right in thinking that in order to re-install all my old non steam content and scenarios all I have to do is copy my old assets folder into my new install.
I am relctant to simply overwrite the full install as in the last two months there may have been updates since I have been away and the broadband where I am currently living is both expensive and limited. Also I do not want to risk any system changes causing problems with the new installation.
Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,
To see your old Scenarios, you will have to also copy your old "Contents" folder as well, This contains the Route and Scenarios files
).
Don't forget to also re-install the "Default Track Makeover" (if you used to have it installed) as it was used in a lot of Freeware Routes.

Re: Re-installing assets in new install
Thanks for the reply. I don't think I had the track makeover so no problem there.
After a two month absence I have been itching to get back on RW.
Still had a working MSTS install but it kind of doesn't really hit the spot anymore.
Thanks again,
Dave

No problem Dave, any further problems Post back here.
The "Default Track Makeover" is really worth installing IMO, it also has the facility to swap back to the original Default Track if you want, as long as you install as instructed in the Read Me.
