Valve (Steam) however Do have a good reputation for releasing 3rd Party games on time otherwise it wouldn't currently be the largest Digital Distibution site for gaming.theokus wrote:There is however, a tendency that they bring strangers to deliver content![]()
It seems that "Major" releases from the Big companies (EA / Activision / Codemasters / Id / etc..) can manage to send their games to Valve in plenty of time for their 'Official' release date - "Brink" was even released one week early as the publishers changed the release date with plenty of time to spare.
The only Valve titles that don't turn up on time are usually major projects (Half Life series, etc) and those are down to Valve themselves not being happy with the game or are simply teasing us with the content.
In the case of RSC releases? I can't honestly answer what is going on - I'd say that you need to make your own theory up here, considering that releases are announced at the last minute, so are they also being uploaded to Valve at the last minute putting them at the bottom of the release lists? Perhaps Valve are fed up of the constant DLC stream? who knows?.....
Valve being at E3 is a poor excuse, to be frank considering that they weren't even in attendance this year! (and DUKE NUKEM FOREVER finally appeared after 10 years+ on Steam on the same day
This is why I have no faith in seeing the Major Update until Christmas 2011 at the earliest - Go on surprise us (me) RSC, lets see the update in the next few months.
